It'd eventually cause mutiny. Probably among people we want to get rid of anyway, but we don't want a bad (worse?) reputation.Quote:

Would we lose valued members? Doubtful. We just have to make it look like it's all happy-happy-joy-joy all the time and be nice to the dumbasses so the staff doesn't look like a bunch of jerks.
:monster:
But WHY?
For new members? Anyone who's not a dumbass would see that you're only banning dumbasses and they'd be like "damn, this place isn't going to suck! *join join join*"
I like how the staff has become deliciously bitter. It was bound to happen sooner or later. ;)
That's why they keep knighting new ones. :p
I, and I'd imagine everyone else on staff, just get bitter when people begin to question everything we do. That post was just me venting at those sort of people. Carry on :)Quote:

That whole "trying to explain your actions" thing is probably a big part of your problem. Pick one person on staff to be the cranky, seemingly ban-hungry ogre, and have him or her take care of all that. I don't know how you can get along without one.

Bitterness is not a new feature by any means.
Not only that but half the Mods would go Ka boom as well...and it would only last for two weeks in this forum only.Quote:

maybe if you hadn't left staff there would still be one. or are you back on staff now? I don't even know anymore.

banned from just this forum or temp-banned from EoFF as a whole? or punished with usernote bans? not that I'm fearing obtaining any of these bans, since I post like once a day.
It's all PR and beaurocratic nonsense. You people have ruined our happy dictatorship!
But I don't think it unreasonable to have to gather evidence before banning, it's the only way we can have anything close to a fair forum.
I don't mind doing the banning because most people think I'm a big joke, so by the time they figure out I've banned them I will be laughing all the way home.
Now you're talkin'. Staff is missing both the scapegoat for amusing antics and the scapegoat for bannings, and it shows. Sadness.Quote:
