then how the hell are we suppose to kick him out?
You can't. As I understand American politics anyway.
You just gotta hope he doesn't do much crusading till his term ends. Or if he does, hope its sufficiently nasty to get him impeached by his own party, but obviously, not nasty enough to warrent wholesale destruction for mankind. :p

knowing him its gonna warrent wholesale destruction for mankind
That's what I'm afraid of.....

Leading by a moral code based off of your faith and "listening to the little god in [one's] head" aren't the same thing. I'm not saying it's the most reassuring thing ever, but I honestly do feel that Bush's faith is blown WAY out of proportion. He's not Jeanne d'Arc saying God told him to smite the evil doers.
And if he ever did do that, do you really think the American people would stand by and let it happen? And I'm talking seriously, don't bring up the election, because whether anyone chooses to believe it or not, he was voted in by more than just the Christians.
I just don't understand why it's scary that he's religious. Clinton went to church every Sunday, y'know. JFK talked about God in his statements. All President's do it. All Presidents have done it.
I just don't see what the big deal is.
foa summed up everything I wanted to say in this thread. Thank you.
I disagree with many things done under the Bush administration, but there's no way in hell Bush is going to be impeached, not even talking about getting a conviction (impeached != getting kicked out of office).Quote:

Wouldn't that be an underwhelming minority?
morality is godless.
and it's not his religion that is worrying. it's that he hears voices which is just a little odd.
Hmm, from what I have seen (and I don't claim to of 'seen' a lot, I'm just looking at the situation as your average forigner, reading the British press etc) Bush seems to be pulling a lot of Fundamentalist Christian things on the adgenda, the Evolution/Creation Theory in schools and this God-talkee thing being but examples. I also heard stories of enforced programs of abstinance and making teenagers take 'purity pledges' in Texas to stop sex before marridge. I dont know if this is Bush or what, but it still seems a bit odd to me. Anyway, yeah, as I stated I disagree with someone in power pressing their religion on others seeing as a large part of America's population arn't Christian.

No. That is an untrue statement. A more accurate statement would be morality can be independant from god.Quote:
morality is godless.
morality is independant from god. christain morals are human morals and are not part of the christain faith but of human morality. that's why all religions have the same morals really.
fraud is bad in christainity, theft is bad in hindhuism, adultery is bad in budhism, rape is bad in juadism, murder is made in islam, shintoism ain't too happy about beating up old ladies in the street either. atheists aren't that welcoming of genocide either. (generally)
Most disturbing. It's just another example of a deranged, power hungry leader using religion to pursue their own agendas.
Looks like he's trying to start a Holy War to me.Quote:
