You are right cuz the genes would not work. Our genetics would be so much different from his. The number of chromosomes in the cell have an important factor when creating hybrids, I am not too sure how but I remember something about it. If Nanaki had about the same number of chromosomes as humans, maybe it would be possible...It been two years since I took a bio class, so I forget a bit about the genetics part...Quote:

I think the DNA, humans have 46 which are set into 23 pairs.
you do know that you guys are talking about a fictional character...
but any two similar species can breed together AND PRODUCE A VIABLE OFFSPRING if the offspring has an even number of chromosomes. An organism with an odd number of chromosomes would not produce offspring but it can still exist (look at a mule - you know a cross with a horse and an ass...hah hah ass.. hah hah...nah just kidding) - this is called aneuploidy. but if the offspring was to breed with another of the same type (either impossible or not yet proven in animals) by a means other than sexual reproduction the odd number would be multiplied by 2 and therefore making the new organism even number of chromosomes hence it can produce viable offspring - this is called polyploidy and happens in plants (wheat, rice, barley, and grass types are all mostly polyploidy) - too much biology i know but oh well
If we really think about it, maybe Nanaki WAS injected but because of a different species he was not affected.
As for the AC comment if all characters that came in contact with Lifestream got Geostigma, how come Tifa, who was in the Lifestream with Cloud, didn't get Geostigma?
No, if we really think about it, there is no evidence whatsoever saying that Nanaki was injected with JENOVA cells. None. Speculating that it didnt effect him because of his species is just grasping at straws.

I could have quite a perverted imagination, but I think Hojo just wanted to mate Aeris and Red XIII, just like how you can mate Chocoboes during Discs 2 and 3.

If Hojo tattoed a number on all experiments, and not only those that were injected with Jenova cells, then why was Aeris not tatooed with a number if she was also a specimen. And what exactly is the proof from Advent Children that he was not injected?
I think Aeris wasnt tattoed because she wasnt realy experimented on, or they didnt have time 2 do that yet. And i belive the prof that Nanaki from AC was that he didnt have geostigmaQuote:
