This thread was the best ever. But some moldy anus edited it and thus, decreased its value by approximatly 93.1%. That thread was Gold Why did you have to ruin it? why? :whimper:

I had some threads closed back in the ezboard days, I think.
Yeah, I remember one where Cid told you to stop cussing and spamming. :lol:Quote:

I think I might go and close them all just to make a point.
[edit- there, closed one ^_^ first person to find it gets a thread of theirs closed for free:P]
haha, I still do. Just not on the internet (too much)Quote:

All hail the PimP!
Yeah, it was when I was pretty new, I didn't do anything wrong, rsl closed it because people started going off topic. But it got to be 6 pages. ^.^
I don't think I've had a thread closed here (yet). It'll probably happen soon.
I'd hate to be a mod. I had the opportunity to moderate at another very popular forum (completely different subject matter) and I turned it down. The rules there were that moderators had to read all the threads/posts in their forum sections and check in daily. It's like having a job that pays you with absolutely nothing and bombards you with clueless newbies and belligerent attention whores and triple posting and...
::wipes brow::
Whew. I could never be a good moderator. I'd flip my s*** at everyone that annoyed me and I wouldn't be able to maintain objectivity.
I'd pick on people who continually make all the threads about abortion, euthanasia, stem-cell research, affirmative action, religion... basically all the threads that people start and make countless repetitive and/or ignorant replies and drown out the people who actually make good points. The threads that will never, ever, EVER change a person's fundamental beliefs but still draw in two sides of people saying the same thing over and over again.
I'd ban anybody with a teenybopper signature. I'd ban anybody who hadn't hit puberty. I'd ban anybody who belched out 3 pages of personalized conversations/inside jokes onto a forum thread (because quite frankly, while I know that you're trying to show people that you have good online friends and that you guys are oh-so-funny and cool, the people you share these little inside jokes with do not outnumber the people who don't care. And wouldn't the people who do care already have another non-forum method of knowing or finding out? Since they're your friends and all?)
Basically, if I were a mod for a day I'd probably be the Ban Nazi. Much, much respect to the mods in this forum- they have more patience in here than I have had in my entire lifetime. Thank God I'm just another newbie.
I've had one or two threads closed because they spoke about something that was being addressed somewhere else, but I don't open many. Once Leeza closed a thread on the Arts section because she thought I had posted stuff that wasn't mine, but once I explained her the situation she re-opened it.
had a few closed :D
mainly from when i first joined and i was a twit ^___^
if i was a mod i would...i dunno xD
dance?
Yeah, a bunch of times - often by myself, but that's entirely beside the point. I had at least one deleted, too. Like, properly deleted, not just moved to trash. It was pre-Garbage, I think.
I'm sure Leeza closed this thread only because she got a bad total score!
It was awesome as long as it lasted... too bad "she" had to close it. :greenie:
