Good, because I just remembred about tabletop RPGs like DnD.
Well on THAT note I know DnD I THOUGHT we were referring to CONSOLE/mebbe PC RPG franchises.
no kidding. i heard the Dragon Quest series is the #1 game in japan and not Final Fantasy. or RPG atleast. and while Japan's electronic heart still beats, what they produce to the planet won't die for a while.Quote:

Dragon Quest games are only allowed to be released on weekends and holidays by law, because otherwise everybody cuts school/doesn't go to work to get the new game.
The word for the healing spell "Hoimi" is completely made up, but it has been adopted into the Japnese dictionary.
If a child skins his knee in a playground, other children will point and say "HOIMI!" I wish I was making that up.
The name Dragon Quest itself is frequently used by ignorant parents to refer to any RPG.
Personally I just like the way Roman numerals look better than Phonecian numbers (the numbers we use). It's just an aesthetic preference though. Also, I'd like to point out that the Romans did NOT use the number IV for 4. They used IIII to mean 4. This has been somewhat retconned by people who like shorter numbers. :)
