In my school, when you attempt to access a blocked sitea big exclamation mark comes up with the words YOU ARE ATEMPTING TO ACCESS A RESTRICTED SITE under it, and the computer makes a siren sound, like a fire engine. Then everyone in the library/computer room stares at you, and the teacher gets pissed. That's why, when searching on google and theres a chance you may find a restrcited site, turn the sound off! And once google images was blocked, and we were all sehr pissed.

I... I can't tell if your serious (my Jesus-y senses are all a miss today). C'mon, it was FF or... oh, what are kids into these days... my school is cool cause the teachers in the computer labs dont really care what you look at as long as its not porn or somethin plus our school doesnt block out any sites hardly...in fact the only one i can think of is Yahoo but it doesnt matter because it only blocks the main page and if you know the address of the mail or games or whatever you can still get to it

hell we can even look up porn if we want to and the teacher isnt paying attention...which they hardly are

I went on Google and searched for Hostname IP lookup, clicked on the first result and used the IP address for the site I wanted to get to.. it was how I checked my Email at school....

None of these work for me. Me and the technology teacher have been tryin to get past schools blocks(ridiculous) for 2 years. So far the ratio is 2 months work - 1 day without blocks. Its dreadful.

See, this is why I love College. Pure, unblocked internet access. Of course, you can't look up anything too conspicuous, or they'll see, but theres none of that "Protect-the-children-from-the-real-world" crap foisted on public schools.

we got filters at school but we usually find way to get around them. like www.snoopblocker.com but it got blocked in our school because someone got caught on it (what an idiot!!)

All I know is that site is blocked too. Wikipedia is blocked now. The IT teachers a wee bit ticked off.

Hire a hit for the people who decide what to block.
