Well, I think it is perfectly fine to argue points regarding Iron Maiden in this, I mean it isn't trolling just because I say I think they are overrated, I have not trolled once in this topic. Sure it did stray off of its path, but never once did I purposly envoke flames upon myself.
Hard rock is a style of rock, and therefore can not be considered a style of metal, as metal is a total different genre from rock, influences or not.
Anyways, I really think think the Blaze albums are pretty underrated for Maiden.
Can you guys just discuss the band and not get tied up by all the superfluous musical categories? Either you like their music or you don't. Thank you.
That's what me and Brian have been trying to do, make the thread take a U turn but it ends up like this.
Might as well just close it now.Quote:

Venom, I believe that it is both you and Bladen that have begun the off-topic posts in this thread to begin with so don't go placing blame elsewhere.
Stay on topic.
EDIT: This goes for you as well, Bladen. Stay on topic, even if it is a thread that you have started.
i must admit i have strayed off topic more than once too. But let's get back to Maiden
what does everyone think of Paul Diannio's Vocals on Iron Maiden and Killers? :choc:
Well anyway I think Iron Maiden have some of the greatest guitar riffs written besides some of the thrash I listen to.
A cool thing to do with an IM song especially Run to The Hills or a long one, speed it up and listen to it at 1.5x speed or 2x normal speed, it sounds cool. The solo in 2 Minutes to midnight does rock but the theme to Wicker Man is better.
Better?

Its pretty good, 2 minutes to midnight was really awesome though, prety much one of my favorite guitar solos.Quote:
