I had the same thing happen to me in freshman english last year.:mad: It was pretty lame. I have started spelling alot of things like that now that I am taking german. It shows you how stupid we americans have made this language.

Color because it's one letter less to read/write/type/remember and I'm a lazy American.
Well, out of all the replies here I believe "Colour" is the word to say.......what the
hell was I saying.....coluor....??
well i dont really know....well ya i do lol...i think colour is a cool way to say it but theres no way i can get myself in the habbit of spelling it that way...

I spell it the Brittish (i.e. proper) way, despite being American.
x.x ive read 'colour' and 'color' to many times in this thread for that word to make sense to me anymore, but yea colour for me, and my Intro to Forensics prof stated that if we used any Ameican spellings she'd tak off marks x.x
I used to spell it color, but after talking to silly British people I've turned to colour. It feels more natural that way now too. :D

I lived majority of my life in UK, so I still use those spellings: (ie colour, armour, favourite)
Once I have lived in the US for 11 years, then I go to color, armor, and favorite, etc. :D
