I agree with you guys. It's only annoying when they're asking for help/opinions and they totally ignore you. I also don't like it when people do that because they make me feel dumb.

Then what would the be the point of making it then? I awlays check on my own threads and threads ive posted in. Its also rather silly to read a thread then never read it again, even though it has about 27 new posts in it.

When the thread starter has started a thread asking for help, etc. and then never responds back, yes it bothers me and it makes me want to close the thread. Otherwise, no. What does bother me is when some thread starters here feel that they should respond to every member that posts in their thread. This gets spammish and off-topic too fast too often. :cat:

They should read the FAQ.

Well I guess if they don't bother to look in it again, it's rather pointless to even start the thread, but...

If the thread starter doesn't post in his own thread it doesn't necessarily mean the thread starter has completely forgot about it- maybe he just wants to let other people talk.

Ideally a thread starts a topic that is self perpetuating and has no need of the original poster.

I made this thread as a joke. This thread asked if you get annoyed when someone starts a thread and they don't even post in it afterwards. I wanted to see how much posts it would take for someone to realize that I didn't post in this thread.
