I'm not materialistic. Money can't buy happiness but not having enough to live by can make people more depressed. I'd rather have true love. Money means nothing more than the things you can buy with it. Love can make a person feel warm, give people courage and creates a strong bond between two people which is unique to them. It's something special. Money just corrupts the soul, causes people to be isolated and isn't devoted to anyone. I feel sorry for those who think they only need their money to be happy. It can't bring a person anything more than material "luxuries".
I do think you need enough to buy essentials and still have a comfortable amount left, though. Living on the edge can drive a knife between people, so love does need money.
