Lightning's weapon

Were just curious to know what the weapon is, there something wrong with that?

well to bad your both wronge cause a "switchblade" is an knife that can pop or switch out of the handel, and its a knife with that name that exists in real life

You mean flick knives, but I guess yanks call them switchblades?

To clarify: Gunblade = Blade which resembles a gun, thus the gun- prefix.
Bladegun = Gun which resembles a blade, similar to the "Velvet Nightmares" used by those three guys in Advent Children.

So Lightning's weapon is really a sort of gunblade/bladegun combo.
