The kidnapping of women under the pretense of marriage still happens in some Eastern European countries. This is with the blessing of the woman's family of course, just not her own blessing.
I am not married, and don't realy care about getting married either, though I wouldn't be opposed to it if the right person comes along.

I was forced to marry (It's a culture thing). Luckily for me, it's been nearly a year and I haven't been living with him. He's in another country and only married me for a visa to the UK. He isn't getting it. :D
