I don't know how we're going to end this competition. We have task four that BoB and I have come up with, then task five with the photo voting, and that should really be it.
I expected things to just crumble and fall apart by this point but there's hardly even any reason for Del and me to bicker! They just keep with the "oh hey activity, look I'm doing things, wheee!" It's making it hard for me to justify my fake resignation. Del's still seems legit, but I'm going to have to step :bou::bou::bou::bou: up. Guess if we go through with the Lightening banning that should cut it.
Are more of you going to step down before the 1st or is it just going to be me and Del at this point? Don't be chicken!

You can volunteer me to quit staff because of not feeling like I belong around on staff. You can say I did it when I came to the Wetherspoon's free wifi bar while on vacation (how I'm posting now). Murd would make sense what with this discontent at the CK competition and how Shlup is reacting. Then Shlup can step down in reaction because, you know, she finally felt a touch of that thing called guilt. Okay, that's not believable. Maybe we oust her. No, that wouldn't work either. I'm not sure how Shlup can believably step down. I don't think Rantz/Shlup/Rye would work, personally, nor myself. We're all too involved in one thing or another. Anyway, I'm indexing everyone's submissions for task four here, but I suspect you asses aren't going to actually read them so I will tell you my opinion and then you will agree with me.
Goldenboko - Even though I don't agree with all of the threads he chose to close, I like his reasoning. He wrote a FFVIII review and made a couple of threads in FFXIII.
Aerith's Knight - Used stuff he contributed in the past for part three and I can't even find it without digging through the thread. He did work hard on that materia list and that's cool and all but... Meh.
Jessweee - Bang up job, I must say. Even submitted three things for site staff that she said she had been meaning to do, so yay for kicking her butt into gear.
Celes - I find her choices for threads to close to be the most solid, personally.
Freya - Solid job all around.
Momiji - Again, a solid job all around, as have been his submissions for every task.
I think... I'm backing Jessweee, Momiji, and any other person to move on to the next round. I think Jessweee and Momiji have done the best overall, and Celes, Freya, and Boko all did about equally well this round.

So originally this competition was supposed to be just plain too hard and everyone would quit early on and that was going to be a fairly clean and simple drama for Del and me to squabble about. look at me posting from my phone! i say we should completely reverse the staff on april 1st - remove all remaining staff and promote all the old staff, both fake and real.
Throughout the day we should just completely reshuffle the roster over and over again.
Keep everyone in Invisible CK and Invisible Admin. Then make Fake CK and Fake Admin user groups, which are just Registered with the title. Make those appear on the forums leader page. Then who ever we put in those groups will appear on the leaders page but will not have real powers, and we keep our true powers the whole time.
And at the end of the day they guess who is really on staff and who isn't. Fake knight raist and all. watch the different reactions of those who are in and out of the knowledge of what's really going on. :D

Just throwing out ideas of how to work it rather than it ending up completely scattered and ending up kind of a letdown. Obviously we can improvise if needed, though, but I think that it would be neat to do the last two in particular, with all and then none, so people can start to guess if anything is actually going to happen.
If you're willing to do all that shuffling around then go for it.

The first group should be everyone who recently left as far back as Miriel. Then after that we just go crazy.

Ok I created two new user groups: Cid's Knight and Administrator. Please do not confuse them with Cid's Knights and Administrators, which are our real groups.
Cid's Knight and Administrator are the fake staff groups. They are just the Registered group except they have the shiny title and show up on the forums leaders page. As you may notice I have already moved our two remaining CK's into invisible CK and marked them as part of the fake CK group. I hesitate doing that for the remaining admins because I don't know if it will cause a problem not having anyone in the 'Administrators' group. But it should be fine.
On April 1 just click anyone you want into the fake staff groups to create your custom staff!
Someone is totally going to confuse the two.

Ok I changed the 'fake' user groups to The Cid's Knights and The Administrators. That is less confusing, right? All that is left is to move all the admins still 'officially' on staff into both The Administrators and Administrators (invisible).
That should work.
So I tried to move everyone into the right groups but it failed. For some reason I can't edit Loony BoB's profile (you bastard). So BoB you do it now.
Ahahaha. I may have to get home before I can fix that. Alternatively anyone who knows what they're doing and has forums FTP access can get in touch with me and I can walk them through the process.
Me and Lynx are going to be switching names and profiles for April Fools. Normally I'd just let everyone figure out for themselves, but with my being an admin and with the day promising some confusion already I'm just letting you know so you don't get confused while switching around titles and stuff.

Oh God. I'm not keen on switching of names for various reasons, personally, but that's just me being anal... basically if someone sends a personal PM to one of the usernames then the other person ends up getting the information, and, well, yeah, that's potentially pretty nasty.

I had great plans to create a couple of sql php pages to upload which I could kick off to give me admin access, then remove everyone else's admin access, then update the passwords so no one could access anything. Then I could create a Skynet admin account with various models of Terminators as CKs. Anyone who spoke up against them would be move the the blood red "TERMINATED" group, which would be like banned. Then a mysterious John Conner account would PM some of the admins who weren't terminated with hints as to the passwords to get back in and help them restore power and defeat Skynet.
Then I realized that this was a :bou::bou::bou::bou:-load of work and I have no care to put that much time into it.
It was either than or do something similar with Shredder as the lone admin and 20 Foot Soldiers as CKs.
But then that was too much work.
So I had a sandwich and all was good. :)
Oh I get it. Someone might go to make 'Rantzien' an admin again after this is all over and they might end up admining Lynx!

Well if you let me put everyone in the hidden group it won't matter. Just do a search on all the hidden admins and you will get all of us, regardless of name!

For anyone doing this, all you should ever now need to change is the primary usergroup. I've set all of us so that we have a secondary usergroup that allows us to be invisible CK's or Admins.
So basically you change the primary group for users between the following...
The Administrators - ie, the ones that appear as admins.
The Cid's Knights - ie, the ones that appear as CK's.
Former Staff - ie, the ones that were once admins/CK's.
Banned - by Mods/Admins - Lightening
Registered - for all the others (Site Staff, CK comp contestants, livingdeadgirl)
I'm so confused...
But I like the multiple titles. :)
