I went for a walk a little while ago and I kicked a rock. It bounced a few times then hit the curb and broke neatly in half. Now I have a cool shiny rock piece, which makes me slightly less sad. Rocks are cool.
I was able to finally get my webpage uploaded to my server after thumbling around with it all day. Which means I have a whole day to do finishing touches before I present it on Wednesday. :D
Tomorrow is my last day of work before I have a couple of days off. #Midweekend
My new USB mic came through so I can start doing some decent music recording! Spent the evening recording Psy's FFVIII parody of Whatever which I'll finish this week.

At risk of sounding like a broken record, today I was super productive! Edited ~25 pages of my fiction novel, wrote ~2,000 words on my non-fiction critique, worked on an essay for uni, and sorted out some general life crap and money crap and whatnot, and had time to spare. I love getting to the end of the day and feeling like I actually did something.

Complete and utter relief.
I got my results back for the exam I sat yesterday. I thought I did really well, so I felt awful seeing an 18/30 grade on the website. That means a pass for the exam and a pass overall for the course; I've never received lower than a credit overall and the impact that would have on my GPA is awful.
After like forty-five minutes of being depressed about that, I finally looked at the grades again and realised that the tasks were listed out of order - 18/30 was the grade I received for a much lower-weighted earlier assessment task for the course. I actually got 26.5/30 for the exam, which is 88% - a high distinction. That means I received a distinction overall for the course. A much more agreeable result.
That caused such an Hermione-esque identity crisis for me, so it's a relief to know I was wrong. Although I do feel awfully stupid for getting so worked up about it when I obviously didn't read it properly. Who lists the tasks out of order? :roll2
I had a sucky morning, but I decided to rise to the challenge anyway. O:

The cleaning wasn't awesome, but the after part is. I've been making an attempt to get my cluttered life smurfing organized lately in getting rid of things, cleaning things, organizing things, and making sense of my jumbled hard drive, bookmarks, and email so that I can feel better and focus on doing more fun things instead of being nagged by the sensation that "I should be doing something more productive right now." I also think it will help allow for creativity to flow more freely as I don't have to worry about things I should be doing instead of not doing them. (I procrastinate a lot. A lot.)
Cleaning, donating unneeded possessions, and physical organization done! Next comes digital organization, and then comes fun things like hanging rainbow origami hearts from my ceiling and putting up posters and writing and brainstorming for a new etsy shop.

So far today, I'm in an extraordinary mood. I woke up early to the sun shining, proceeded to get ready for the day and managed to achieve the perfect shave with my straight razor, not one cut or nick. This made me proud and boosted my good mood even further.
I was somewhat distraught at work today, but a coworker was leaving, and dressed in medical scrubs to go to their internship. I yelled out, "HEY, YOU SCRUB UP REAL NICE!" and the customer behind me burst out laughing.

A short documentary that I was working on all Memorial Day weekend, was entered in a contest an hour late due to several things out of my control, but today we got an email from the contest runners saying that they'd still accept the film and will send it to the company sponsoring the contest. Here's hoping we walk away with the Grand Prize, or at least second place, which ain't too shabby either. ;)

I woke up inexplicably happy today. I think it probably has to do with the fact I haven't went out and got really drunk for a few nights, and I've had more than one hour's sleep for a couple of nights now, and I smashed it at the gym last night. And this weekend is my friend's birthday and I'm really looking forward to that, everyone is in their 20's now and we all get together less and less because of life stuff.

I'm angry about missing the party times of the ciddies tonight but on the other hand am seeing people I haven't seen in years, I have eleven beers which is a good number for going to London and partying in my friend's dorm. I'm wearing my rarest vintage jacket today, a really cringey (ironically so though so it's cool) Puma track top. On the back it reads in colourful letters 'climbing is a mix between fun and hard work. it needs excellent condition of body and spirit', oh the 80's when clothes said things on them more than they do now.

I've been on a mission in North Carolina for the Air Force this week so I'm excited today was the last day and I'll fly home tomorrow to see my fiance and our puppy. I can't wait. I've been away from home a bunch these last few months so some time home before the wedding will be nice and relaxing!
Yesterday my mom got hit by a semi while she was in her work truck (she works for Fedex). I found out too late last night to go see her so I went this afternoon. I'm extremely happy and grateful that she's still alive and going to be OK. Just a reminder odds, life is too short to be anything but happy!

I loved the Museum of Natural History! It was mahoosive though and I was knackered when we came out. Also, standing underneath that huge blue whale freaked me the hell out.Quote:

After which I went jogging and met big head, our friendly neighbourhood stray cat which have a rather oversized head for its small puny body. I shook hand with him and we went jogging together. :bigsmile:
Actually he resisted but I decided to carry him and cuddle him so hard that he gave up on the struggle and accompany me on my jog! :kaoclove:
Then I went to buy dinner at McDonald and share some with big head before big head got horny and went chasing after other stray cats to satisfy his lust. Naughty Kitty~~~ :bigsmile:
And lastly, here I am posting in EoFF still elated over my exams and my hamsters still stuffing themselves with hamster food inside the big huge bowl. :bigsmile:

With me passing all my exams, I've decided to be a sweet girlfriend and fetch my boyfriend after his overnight shift at like 8am in the morning. I couldn't stop hopping and jumping around with my excitement while he behaves like a dead zombie deprived from eating brains. :zombie:
We had breakfast together and it was great. I put the food in my mouth while he put his face in the food because he dozed off. lol. :bounce:
I took him home and tuck him to bed after reading some of my bedtime stories which he complains is a bit too scary for his taste. :(
After he fell asleep, I wrecked havoc in the house by looting everything I found in the fridge. Some went straight to my stomach while others into my ration bag. I took whatever mangas and games I found appealing and declare my ownership over them. :bigsmile:
Happy with my loots and rewards, I give him a kiss on the forehead and head back home to party~~~~~ YEEEEEHAAAAAA~~~~~ :kaoclove:

We went to see the Statue of "Liverty" today... While laying in bed, P informed me that the Statue was supposed to be given to Nashville. Cuz it was 1st. And it's very special.
I felt good this morning. Work was actually okay today, even if it was a little slow. There was a gorgeous sunset over the river as I drove home. I wrote some words on one short story this morning, then started and finished a 787 word piece this afternoon/evening. I still have time to play some video games before bed!

There are several things still wrong between me and this person I've been friends with for nearly a decade, but I'm still kind of happy that we're on speaking terms again.

I got an increase in my money an extra £30 p/w.
I got a backdated payment of £915.
I bought 2 scratch cards and won £10, then bought 2 more (they were £5 each) and won £210, £200 on one and £10 on another.

On the whole today has been a pretty awesome day, and after the total crap weekend and months of having crap money, things are finally starting to turn for the better.
My resilience and my bright shining lights of love against this horrible day is a reason to rejoice at least!!!
It wasn't today, but the ending of one of the anime I was watching, even if it wasn't clear cut, wasn't the disappointment I feared it would be. It leaves me content.
Also, team's victory on the World Cup! Even if this is as far as they go, it was a good group stage performance.
