frankly (fwankwy pauw) they don't deserve a new manager, this season of misery for Chelsea has been both brilliant and richly deserved by one of the scummiest teams in World football. the inevitable new manager improvement boost is going to be throroughly undeserved however.

smurf Chelsea fans, this is just desserts.
Yeah I have more sympathy for Jose than I do for Chelsea. He was one of the better things about Chelsea tbh. They're running dry now.
You know what the worst thing to happen to football lately is? Gary Neville at Valencia. Sky Sports is now presented by the likes of John Terry and Frank Lampard and it's awful. So, so bad. You would think Jamie Carragher was bad enough.
I know what you mean, and Chelsea seem to have a large minority of scum, but every club has that. I've heard Utd fans singing "Murderers" and "You killed your own fans" at Liverpool games. Much like the Munich stick that we get it's totally unacceptable. I had a massive vendetta against Rangers after the Europa League final where they trashed my city.
Such a shame as the vast majority of every clubs fans are very well behaved.
True enough, just that Chelsea more than any other club seems to attract that element.
No, that's Millwall.
Touché.
This season is just weird. I can't predict any match outcome these days.
I'm currently in the middle of Botswana with no internet, but all day yesterday was waiting for the inevitability of the Andy Carroll double and subsequent football thread mocking. Imagine my disappointment when I find a hotspot at a cafe this morning and log on to find neither.
You're probably one of the few people who have visited the sparse and bleak deserts of Botswana and found them to be much nicer than where they've come from.
Van Gaal out
Who would you like to come in?
Van Gaal
Who would you like to shake it all about?
I'm honestly not sure. I would love to see Pep there but he's never had to manage a struggling club like ours. He might not be a good fit. Mourinho would probably have a better chance at turning our fortunes around but I just don't like the guy and don't want to see him here. At the minute, I'd give Giggs the reigns.
Maybe Brendan Rodgers will help the team perform with a bit more character.
Yeah, it's slim pickings at the moment as no matter how high pedigree a manager you bring into the PL, quite frankly the PL may just turn them upside down anyway.
Could always bring in Claudio Ranieri. Maybe he can bring Vardy along.
In all seriousness, I wouldn't know where to look for a manager right now. I just get the feeling it's more about finding the right manager for the club rather than grabbing a random high grade manager and running with them. Guardiola has never picked up a struggling side, Mourinho doesn't play aggressive football, Simeone is an unknown at the top outside of Athletico (although his achievements there are solid), and I'm not really sure I want one of the older managers right now that are just doing a few things before they retire. So yeah... slim pickings.
I don't completely mind LVG but he doesn't really hype you up in any way. I dare say even Moyes played us in a more attacking way, although often that ended up being the problem because he would too often rely on big name attacking players and just swamp them onto the pitch with no regard for defence.
Honestly, I don't think it really matters is van Gaal is out or not. He's been the manager of our national team twice. Once he smurfed up, and once he performed above all expectation. Could be slump, could be that everyone and their mother can see through United's strategy by now. New manager would shake it up a little, but who knows if it is for the better. A team without a proper midfield will still be the same no matter the manager. What you need is to get a good midfielder.
Honestly, I think half of the reason why Leicester's strategy is working (and hard to counter) is because the whole of it is: Get the ball, run like hell. I get tired just watching a dang match. It's like a whole team of Marc Overmars.
Mourinho is an answer depending on what you're after. He can galvanise a team for a couple of seasons, create a siege mentality and grind out wins. After that, and this season at Chelsea (and indeed the last two months or so of last season really) is indicative of this, there tends to be a burn out and they drop off. If you want to build a longer sustained period of success which takes a few years to get going, and indeed it seems Manchester United's culture is skewed towards this because of the success of Ferguson, Mourinho is not your man. Indeed, imagine if he'd kept and blooded Lukaku and De Bruyne for example.
I don't know whether I buy into the "create a long term dynasty" view myself, I don't know if it's possible in 2015. After all, the chop and change strategy works fairly well for Chelsea of course. I think Mourinho is the type of person Liverpool would benefit from. As soon as any hint of the t-word is mentioned the team will implode on itself. As soon as we twatted Man City, everyone started talking about it and now look at what's happened! I'd be interested for Mourinho to come in, create that winning mentality and get the bloody monkey off the club's back.
On what AK said, I agree, I love watching the Foxes play. I love that they're happy to cede possession and then launch a ridiculous blitz with the pace of Vardy, Mahrez and the underrated Albrighton. I'm desperate for Leicester to win the league now. I've seen a real change in the demeanour of the city. People are proud, excited and disbelieving. I just wish my Grandad was here to see it, he'd be roaring his head off with laughter at it all.
What are the predictions for tomorrow, fellas? I'm thinking Man. U. loses and vG loses his job. After that all the losses can be blamed on the lack of a coach.
Chelsea will probably win from Watford, because otherwise they lose their job.
A liverpool loss because Leicester rolls over anyone at this point (or perhaps a christmas miracle?).
An increase of salinity will be detected in Swansea. But I'm guessing they'll draw.
And lastly, Bournemouth-Cryst. Pal. will be a good watch.
Using those new Football Result vision glasses to good use from the Secret Santa, eh?
With Leicester, you just know they are going to lose at some point, and things will be made with that. I do fear that when they do lose one game, the media will go on about them 'fading away' once more. I mean, even the big teams have lost at least one game in the last five, but I do feel Leicester is in danger of being scrutinised much more over a single loss.
I have a fear for Leicester too. A work colleague saw Claudio Ranieri out in Curry's in Leicester yesterday. He'd left it 'til the last minute! Didn't even have someone doing his shopping for him. What a state.
Only one man can save United now.

Also smurfing Liverpool ruining everything :colbert:
Bloody Liverpool.
Still, let's not take things too far. Leicester haven't lost a game for ages, and it was only a matter of time until they lost to someone. At it was by a narrow margin as well, only 1-0. I don't think (for the sake of the excitement for the season, I hope) they bounce back, because I really like Leicester and I want them to do well.
Hey don't talk trout about Liverpool how dare you :colbert:
It's a christmas miracle. Hooray for Liverpool.
Man, I feel like I have diabetes now.
Leicester did lose, but so did Arsenal tonight by a much higher margin (4-0!) so it wasn't all bad for them. Man City did win, but against Sunderland, which is hardly news worthy.
In other news, Man United lose once again. Can Van Gaal last much longer?
soooo gutted Vinnie is crippled again. been desperate for him for weeks now.
Imagine: Crystal Palace and Leicester enter the Champions League. Both do well, and re-establish PL clubs in UEFA after a slightly barren run.
Swansea City not only not losing for three games, but keeping three clean sheets? I feel like I'm in bizarro world. Then I remember that in those games we've scored one goal. Gomis out, super Alan Curtis
Also big whispers that based Jonjo wants a move. I'd rather he stayed because when he puts his head to it he can be a truly great player, but he hasn't been getting game time recently.
Man, Klopp was going nuts at the Liverpool-Sunderland game. Also, the ref was pretty weird. Some calls he made were absolute beauties, others were blatantly favoring Sunderland. Maybe he felt bad for them and didn't want a riot in the stadium of light.
Finally I can post in this thread! We won! I'm fully confident that we can now go on another run of winless matches.
Also, it's great to see Andy Carroll starting to repay some of that £35M that Liverpool paid for him.
Newcastle should've won against Arsenal. Too many chances that could've gotten in. Great goalie, that Cech.
Dennis what did you think of Stoke v West Brom?
Trip to win.
Didn't watch all of the game, but it looked like two bulls smashing into each other. Missed chances on West Brom side, so I suppose it's alright they won. But dear god, that second goal was just ridiculous.
Red card was... I dunno, justified, I suppose, but a little harsh. Imagine the amount of cards that would've been given in the legendary Holland-Portugal match if this guy was refereeing. ^^;
The pass leading up to the Stokes goal though, by Jose(?), wonderful. Best pass of the game.
Based Ben Stokes. Why isn't this trout on terrestrial TV, you will not find anyone in the country who wouldn't be gripped by that innings.
FAO BoB: Now it's two Kiwis with the fastest ever double tons!
they don't have test match special on jewtube either so I couldn't listen to it, was well gutted

Blast. I lose count remembering all the last minute goals conceded against Liverpoool.
One of these days Arsenal will be involved in a classic game where we're not the ones screwing it up. I'd be less annoyed about it if it wasn't for the fact that this weekend is our annual defeat at Stoke.
Got to get it together, or it's going to be grim seeing this not very good Man City team win the title at this rate :(
I'm not usually one to go off about dodgy refereeing but smurf me it's decisions like that which will send us down. It took a load of effort to come back from 1-0 down to 2-1 up but there was no chance it was going to last with 10 men. Watford, Everton, West Brom and Palace coming up, we need to win all of them.
Get out of here with your facts and statistics!
I don't know on what planet sending on Joe Allen and Steven Caulker (as an emergency striker, no less) to rescue a game works but I'm confident that we're no longer on Earth.
Can we have both of them back please as I don't know any footballers

smurf Swanea, get relegated. Awful football club, awful fans. Jonjo is a legend :colbert:
Poor poor man and his 12 million pounds. I bet he cries into hundred quid notes at night.
That's not quite how football transfers work.
Oh, my bad, I thought it was the trainer.
Although with Swansea, would you even notice?
Chelsea dodged themselves out of a loss, to be honest. That last goal was clearly offside. I do feel sorry for Everton, their draw record is astounding and they appear to be slumbering in mid-table.
Not really convinced by their manager. Roberto Martinez has a lot of talent at his disposal - Lukaku, Stones and Barkley are worth £40m+ apiece - and hasn't really done much with it.
Shocking game yesterday. After a bit of adventure against Newcastle we reverted back to the boring Utd. Liverpool deserved a bit more after having a bit more about them but De Gea is awesome. Hoping Madrid keep their paws off this transfer window then they're done for a year!

I know following Arsenal is to constantly be at risk of heart attacks and smashed aspirations, but do they have a chance to win the title? Every time they come close, they tend to capitulate and then reside moodily in 3rd or 4th. Given the relative lack of quality in the rest of the 'big teams', could Arsenal win the league by virtue of being the least crap?
I agree other than Liverpool deserving something more! Yes United were meek and sluggish and Liverpool took control of the game, but then what? What did they actually do with that control? A couple of half chances and spunking endless long range shots wide. None of Lallana, Milner or Henderson did anything worthy in the attacking third to unlock United's defence and nor did they even look like doing it. Firmino was the only one with something of a spark about him and he couldn't exactly do it all himself. The goal was just a complete lack of defending at a set piece but then that's 15-16 Liverpool for you.
But yeah all in all an absolute turgid slop of a match.
The turgid match is all the more humorous with Van Gaal's proclaiming that they're back in the title race. Not exactly convinced with that performance; it was barely a victory.
Springing another "Who?" manager on us just as we were about to lose faith. Huw Jenkins the benevolent provider for us all.
Could happen, but we've won one away game in three months now (and it was against Villa so barely counts) and that will need to improve fast as we have Man Utd and Spurs away before mid-March. Best chance is still to hope that Man City keep muddling along and Man Utd keep going around in circles. And having no major injuries for the rest of the season.
Can Arsenal win the title? Of course they can. They've done it a few times before, I'll have you know. :p
Are United in the title race? Of course they are. Seven points behind isn't the death of a title race by any means. Not optimistic at all, but to say we're out of the race is silly.
Did I watch the United / Liverpool game? No. This is how excited I am to watch United games these days. I forget about the derby.
Unfortunately, I think we are out of the title race. It might be different if we were 7 points behind one team. However, we are 7 points behind Arsenal, 7 points behind Leicester and 6 points behind Man City. Expecting all three teams to endure a bad run of form whilst we miraculously start playing well and actually start smurfing shooting is too much to expect.
Still just seven points. Lots of the season to go. People are all too quick to say "out of the title race". We're far from favourites, hell, we might not even be favourites for a top four spot. But you don't look at a race half way through when someone is behind four other racers and say "Well, he's got zero chance of winning."
It always amuses me when people use the term "Back in the race" after they surge late. People seem to forget that they were always in the race.
Watching Carlisle penalties AGAIN. Can't handle this!
EDIT: Hell yes.
Liverpool-Norwich, what a match. What. A. Match. This is why I watch Premier league instead of Eredivisie.
The heel goal, the perfect 3rd goal of Liverpool, the rally at the end, and the last tiebreaker. I might need to change my pants now.
That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen but I have a huge grin on my face.
I wonder if Jurgen Klopp's glasses will ever be found.
5-4!?!?! Wow. When matches go for that long, I almost hope both teams score a point for the sheer endurance of it all. Both teams were thin on the ground defensively but it was very entertaining. I feel sorry for Norwich though, they probably deserved something from that game.
Forget Norwich v Liverpool, if you want real entertainment then just tune into our game at Old Trafford.
Defending, passing sideways. Real football.
BREAKING: Klopp's glasses have been found: https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldChat/s...07921119645696
Might've known it'd be Benteke.
e: Klopp: "I usually have a second pair of glasses but I can't find them because it's hard to find glasses without glasses"
He's right you know.
So yeah, 11 games on the trot at home where we haven't scored in the first half.
I'm actually glad I'm at work and missing the game.
Van Gaal out.
At least there was a mouse running around on the pitch. That was pretty good.
https://streamable.com/o2bf
How quickly things can go from "Don't rule out Man United!" to "Van Gaal out". :p
Van Gaal always wants to have his system. So if you don't want to play in the system, you don't play and sit on the bench. If you are a "team" player, like Fellaini, even if you aren't all that good, you get to play because you scored an average on the van Gaal scoring list.
Perhaps Man. U. isn't the right team for him. They'll probably sack him at the end of the season.
Anyway, I don't think the next one will do much better for the first year. It'll be a while, fellas.
Not that I give a blue smurf, I watch matches that entertain me, like Liverpool right now.
Van Gaal aside, you have to factor in that United's squad is awful. De Gea, Mata and possibly Memphis excluded I don't think any of their players would get into any of the other top teams. You think back over time and United used to have so many terrifying players, but this one is utter dross. I saw the lineup on the beeb commentary yesterday and it genuinely shocked me how monumentally paff it was. Mind you that I haven't been able to watch football for three years now so I don't know exactly how they're performing but on paper at least it's full on waste.
Young would probably get into another top team if he wasn't always broken down for repairs.
Well, to be fair, Di Maria performed just about as well as RvP. So not. You can make a team that centers around such players and then they shine, but you can't do that with 4 different strikers, and they chose for Rooney.
Hernandez did fine though, so that was a terrible move.
Not apologizing for Van Gaal by any means, but I think United have been a hard sell ever since Red Nose stepped down and was replaced by Moyes. I was also under the impression that Di Maria never really wanted to be there in the first place? I thought he was courting PSG in the window before he ended up with you lot, but that may just be my faulty memory.
The Arsenal vs Chelsea ended with a fairly comfortable 0-1 victory to Chelsea. That means Leicester is top going into February.
Also, I was reading the Guardian blog on the match and came across this cringer:
Attachment 66361
If Leicester does win the league, would they be the most unlikely champion in European Leagues soccer history?
I admit I don't know the histories of the leagues outside of Germany, Spain, Italy, England and France but has there ever been a team that went from worst to first in one year? Especially in this era of mega-budget clubs?
Also, Klopp continues to make me smile even as the team play itself is dire. If he could somehow get us a trophy and a Top 5 finish, I'll consider this season a success.
Take care all.
I Leicester win the league, I will actually go out and buy a Liverpool shirt with 'Allen' printed on the back, frame it, hang it on my wall, take a picture, and make it both my EoFF avatar and signature. Then eat my hat.
in other news I lol'd that the Swansea team had to Google this Guidolin character
City will win this 3-1
Edit:
LVG is a genius! The mighty Red Devils still on for the treble!
(SPOILER)Lol jk, Van Gaal Out
I have to say, Blind impressed me in that game. Not from the goal, which was good, sure, but from the defending save with 2 def vs. 3 attackers, getting the ball away 5 meters before the goal calmly and professionally. I think he will grow into a cornerstone of the Dutch national defense.
Fernandinho is also doing very well. Very good at picking up sloppy passes.
Looking forward to the WE'RE BACK headlines in the red tops this morning.
Not a chance. After Van Gaal called one of the Sun's main football writers a "fat man" the red tops have rallied around and are up in arms about this heinous crime against journalists. My particular favourite point that they make is that it is unbefitting of the manager of a club with the stature of Manchester United to insult humble journalists as if the Fergie era never happened.
Pep to Man City confirmed. If United get Mourinho can you imagine Pep, Mourinho, Klopp and Sam Allardyce all in the same league at the same time? Titans.
City to be relegated next season.
This season if we're lucky. Oh, were you not talking about Swansea?
Well, he is Dutch.
Pep well and truly bottling it by snubbing strugglers Man Utd and Chelsea and going to another team that's already winning. You're booooring me, Pep.
Old Manus to the Rant Thread for an undisclosed fee.
As much as the concept of liking a team that Psychotic supports befouls me to my very core, I am actually starting to want to believe in Leicester. It's not even like they're just on a good run with one or two diamond in the rough world class players, they are legit a top quality team.
Yeah. For all the talk Vardy and Mahrez attract, N'Golo Kante is easily the best DM in the league and possibly even Leicester's best player.
Whatever. Vardy shinned it.
Man, that first goal of Vardy was pretty awesome. I live in a good soccer age.
Can Gary Neville please be made Man United manager now? :D I'd settle for Ryan Giggs, mind. Though I reckon it is going to be Pochettino and while he's not a superstar name like Guardiola that is a prospect I fear. There's something about him and his teams that really impresses me, and I think he could do great things at United. Pellegrini would be a good choice too but probably not going to happen!
People put way too much stock into what a manager does. In the end, it is all up to players. Considering we have total football, and player positions are fluid, it seems minimal.
I assume that bad transfer actions have to be agreed upon by the board as well, of course.
They won't want Pochettino in the Utd job as he isn't a headline cow. He doesn't have delusions of grandeur (Mourinho), he doesn't keep putting his foot in his mouth at press conferences (Van Gaal), he doesn't pull silly faces on the touchline (Klopp), and he isn't a permanent grump who believes everything is a conspiracy (Wenger). I mean trout, all that the newspapers could print about Pellegrini was that he was too boring for them to print anything about him. Sky Sports News is a 24 hour channel, god damn it!
Perhaps we'll poach that young, fresh, unknown manager who has taken Leicester to the top.
I would prefer it if you didn't. One of my work colleagues lives around the corner from him and every morning I am regailed with tales of what he saw Claudio eating for breakfast through the curtains. At least wait until the restraining order is in place, eh?
The manager isn't as important as everyone makes out, but for morale purposes, the manager is pretty important. The manager is also the 'face' of a team and sentiments towards that team is affected by the public opinion of the manager.
He has been having breakfast much later than usual this week if it helps.
Just googled the result of the early match between Man City and Leicester. Leicester won 3-1? That seems pretty conclusive. It's such a big moment it's one of the top stories on The Guardian website.
Not sure what is more annoying right now, us being crap when it comes to the crunch as per usual, or Man City being crap. Probably the latter.
Hahaha what is going on! Leicester for the title! If Bale is worth 100M then Mahrez is worth, and I mean this seriously, twice as much.
[Adam Johnson joke]
Guardian asks its writers who will win the title now. Nobody says Arsenal, which shows at least some good sense. More say Spurs than Man City, which suggests less good sense. Results this weekend might turn any predictions upside down straight away anyway.
And Man United lose against Sunderland. That's got to sting.
Van Gaal out.
Koeman for national coach.
Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester. Eh, I would have preferred a draw as opposed to 'last-gasp' victories. A draw was the fairer result and plenty of people are disappointed about Leicester losing. They've become many people's favourite team this season. They're still top, but in a much more precarious position.
Villa. Dear oh dear.
Especially being this fan:
https://twitter.com/steveladgrove/st...83267890339840
Also, that Spurs penalty was never a penalty.
It was a penalty all day long. It's Sterling's own fault for having arms.
I've decided that from now on, every time people get on my back on EoFF for low-effort troutposts I am just going to reply with this:
Attachment 67143
It was comical watching City in those last few minutes of the match. I would have prefer a draw, but it was a fun match.
Also, Liverpool. Oh Liverpool.
Anyways, I'm totally fine with Leicester taking the title this season.
Paul Pogba is the greatest player on the planet. Why? He has a smurfing honest-to-god Pokemon haircut.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2016/...5066501643.jpg
Oh god, if this makes even more ridiculous haircuts the new fashion, I might actually snap and start building doom machines.
Man U. wins a game?
van Gaal out.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate that one of the FIFA presidential candidates is literally a sex whale.
I've encountered many a sex whale in my time and trust me when I say... don't trust the Tokyo-based ones.
That will indeed be tasty. I actually think being at home for the second leg will put us at a disadvantage.
Tottenham to get battered by Dortmund.
We've become the most boring team in the Premier League. A feat I didn't think was possible when we were in the same league as Van Gaal's Utd.
What a game! Marcus Rashford to sign for Madrid in the summer for 75M.
Tottenham to win the league.
Brazilians: Bad at penalties.
The best team won tbf
That feel when it's your team that scuppers charliepanayi's best chance to win the league in a decade
Well this was a poor week for the big teams:
Arsenal 1 - 2 Swansea
Tottenham 0 - 1 West Ham
Manchester City 0 - 3 Liverpool
Heck, even Leicester only scored a draw. Which technically means they increase their lead by a point. Not as much as three points, but you take your victories where you can I suppose.
The Big Teams have changed. The Big Four is now Leicester, Man City, Tottenham and West Ham.
2015/16: Nobody wants to win the Premier League.
Sneaking a watch of that game whilst at work. Very entertaining!
Man, I haven't really followed the footie too much since Sir Alex hung up his... gum, I guess, but Leicester have really drawn me back in. Really hope they win it, it would be the best underdog story for years. Also, as a Man U supporter who was 10 years old in 1999... I just have to root for anyone named Schmeichel. It's just the law. I'm such a Schmeichel fan I even learned to spell the name Schmeichel, which is a stupid word to have to try and spell.

This mischievous giggle sums up my thoughts. I dislike Crystal Palace and I hate Alan Pardew so I give zero smurfs.
That was disgusting. I sincerely hope that they institute the video referees soon, so that Benteke would get a red card and a free kick to the head in the parking lot for a schwalbe that dirty. Unbelievable.
This type of acting paying off, that's why I can sometimes detest football.
Naw. There was clearly contact to the back of his heel from Delaney's knee and that impeded him. Enough to go down? No. Enough to put him in a worsened position had the contact not been made? Yes. It's one of those situations where it's both a foul but also a dive. Too many football fans have the mentality that it can only be one or the other.
Who knew that I'd ever care about the Europa League. I have a bad feeling about tonights game. I don't see us getting a result.
LVG is doing a crap job at trying to deceive the fans that being in the Europa League is something we should be ever so proud of. Just leave already.
If we don't score tonight then it's effectively tie over. I fancy Liverpool nicking one at Old Trafford and on the day Utd score three at home, Satan will be skating to work.
EDIT: Lovely stuff. That's the kind of passion and commitment I like in a team. It's just a shame it's not mine.
While Liverpool deserved to win tonight, it is highly noticeable that there is a German coach on the team, since I'm starting to think of Liverpool when someone says Schwalbe, and visa versa.
Perhaps not the reputation you should strive for.
Great performance, great tactics, great fans, really pleased. Can't fault a single player in the team but in particular shout outs to Clyne and Lallana as they were both immense. Too many games against United have seen us be dominant but sterile and then concede a sloppy goal. Glad we sorted it out at both ends, although maybe we should've scored another goal or two.
Don't know what the smurf United were doing. Was slightly intrigued to watch Marcus Rashford, the young striker everyone has been raving about... instead he gets shunted out to right back? What the smurf was that? He was left totally exposed. I don't often feel sorry for United players but I did feel sorry for the kid.
Liverpool v Dortmund in the next round? Would be fun.
When the Arsenal players and Wenger look back and think 'how did we totally screw up this season?', I imagine the first reason that will come to mind is 'oh yeah, we lost to that total shower of a Man Utd side'
You caught us on a rare 'half-decent' day. Plus, you were awful.
Also, no-one with any sense is raving about Marcus Rashford. He had a good game against Arsenal due to the fact that he was high on confidence after scoring two against a poor Midtjylland side. A similar thing happened with Macheda. The poor lad is nowhere near ready to lead the line for the first team. Carrying on playing him will do more harm than good at this stage in his career.
To clarify, my point wasn't "heh looks like Rashford is trout after all :smug:" and I hold him blameless. I'm saying Van Gaal is guilty of the football equivalent of criminal negligence by playing a young inexperienced kid totally out of position in such a major and intense game.
Oh, I know man. He was thrown in as both Rooney and Martial were injured. As soon as Martial came back he should have gone back to the under-21's. I was referring more to certain Utd fans on Twitter saying he's the next Neymar and crap like that. He needs to be taken out of the firing line now. Plus yeah, no idea what he was doing back there last night.
Man Utd to win the return leg 7-0.
"but he has a tactic for everything"
EDIT: Continual Utd capitulations are worth it if only for the decorated ex-players losing their trout over it on television every week

You can see Scholesy dying inside every time Stevie Mac fires a broadside at United's woes on and off the pitch. If there wasn't a camera on them I reckon he would have hit him.
Carroll to score a brace of headers. 2-0 West Ham.
That's one of the best free kicks I've seen at Old Trafford in a long time. Great strike.
Wasn't a free-kick in the first place though!
I'm largely indifferent to the FA Cup, if I'm honest.
Christ what I wouldn't give to have Suarez back. He is a monster in many ways, not least of which his footballing ability and specifically his first touch. Absolutely broken.
I would feel so upset if I Leicester lost the league now. I've never wanted a team to win so badly before.
Tell me about it. I want to see Old Manus eat a hat.
He's just going to claim that "hat" is some archaic Welsh word that means "Strawberry" or something anyway. Don't build your hopes up even more my man.
Then again, the Welsh word for Strawberry is probably "gfyllynllanrubiowydpomryn" so maybe not
How did you know my safe word?
I know there's that game tonight and I should be posting #bantz or having a self-righteous rant about the Hillsborough banners on the M602 but

smurf it i'm supporting norn iron this summer
they look like subutteo players
Well, that's pretty much tie over. Scousers get the bragging rights but if we're being honest, neither of these teams are good enough to win the Europa League.
Still have a tiny bit of hope we can secure fourth place. I'm sure that will be dashed when we get out arses spanked by City on Sunday.
That game... Fellaini pretty much dropped several scales on the football meter, and he wasn't that high to begin with.
I do have to say, Sakho and Blind for MvP. Great defending I'm seeing on both sides, at least from those two players.
I'll not discuss the remainder for.. well, you know the reasons.
Sakho is inhuman. What a beast.
There's something depressing about the two most deluded sets of fans in English football throwing chairs at each other in a Jokeropa League second round game. "This is still important!"
Steady on there son. Not denying that both Liverpool and United fans are delusional but neither is at Arsenal levels.
That said, if you think it was unimportant despite it getting more media coverage and viewing audience than any of the Champions League ties then I would slap a delusional label on you too.
It was the first ever European tie between United and Liverpool so yeah, it was huge. Obviously neither club wants to be challenging for this trophy though. Liverpool to lose 13-0 on aggregate to Dortmund in the next round.
EDIT: Liverpool did actually get Dortmund. My prediction could come true!
Also City v PSG. Lovely.
I'm pretty happy with being in the Europa League and the Little Englander HURR HURR THUSDAY NIGHTS CHANOL 5 business has always confused the smurf out of me. I am a Liverpool and football fan. With the Europa League, I get more Liverpool playing football to watch. How terrible. If you asked what they thought of the competition in Germany or Spain they'd get confused if you told them how the English felt about it. You know, Germany and Spain, those countries with both club and national teams significantly better than the ones England produce. I don't even mean the Barcas and Bayerns. You stick Dortmund or Sevilla in the Premier League and they'd smurfing win it.
But no don't you see it's not as important as the premier league and SUPER SUNDAY omg will liverpool beat stoke city in the BATTLE FOR 8TH??? smurf me nothing is as tedious as Premier League culture. You win two games and suddenly OH WOW WILL LIVERPOOL SNEAK INTO THE TOP FOUR? oh wow oh gosh i don't know what i'd do if we did!!!!! :')
Europa League is a fun chance to see teams, players and fans I rarely see, and to see how Liverpool do against them. Teams and players much better than the ones in the Premier League to boot. I've seen us face Swansea a dozen times. Oh look, they're passing the ball a lot. Ashley Williams having a moan at the ref because he didn't get a decision, what a sight. Oh dear they've scored, can't wait to see whether Old Manus says lmaoverpool or plays it safe with a rofliverpool. 13-0 to Dortmund? That'd be pretty crazy to see, yeah, let's do that. That'd be smurfing fun. I'd enjoy that more than grinding out a 1-0 win against Bournemouth.
And Premier League fans are smurfing awful now. They are absolutely the worst. Both in the online sense and in the stadiums. I hear only the same two songs from opposition fans every week - Sign On and Stevie G falling on his arse - hate to break it to you lads, but the man is in another continent. If we're lucky, maybe some random trout will be sung to smurfing Sloop John B. In the 5-4 win against Norwich, they grabbed (what they thought) was a 90th minute equaliser, grabbing what could be a vital point in their relegation battle. Do they sing about how great Norwich are or celebrate their goalscorer? lol no, welfare benefits amirite. Guarantee you the Dortmund fans aren't going to be pulling that tedious overplayed #bantz trout. They look to be a great crowd and they're also a fan of our favourite song. It's going to be smurfing awesome to watch.
I've seen my team win this competition before, it was one of the greatest nights as a football fan I've had and I've got some bloody brilliant memories. Can't wait, smurf the haters.
I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in the stadium starts singing it, regardless of whose fan they are. Don't think that they are rooting for Liverpool though, it's just a great song.
My only team is "The Netherlands", and we haven't won a competition since the month I was born. >_>Quote:

Yeah but being Dutch sounds like a wild ride. You've had a fair few semi-finals and finals, and if it goes wrong it's usually for the comedy of the team falling out and fighting because Edgar Davids or Robin Van Persie is kicking off. With England we limp out at any point between the group stage and Quarter Finals inclusive, and it's simply met with "Ohhh yeah. We're not very good. Oops, kinda forgot that over the past two years."
Which is odd considering the amount of money you pump into your football system.
At the highest level to players and agents, sure. At the lower and youth levels? Nah, go play hoofball on a dog toilet.
