I consider the involvement of at least a psuedo-Unne to be a necessity. We're all pissing around deciding whether or not the ban Kishi, with me going "No way! STFU!" and Unne pops in and bans him without a second thought.

Unne doesn't really have to be here or actually do anything and the thread is already in Garbage so we just have to say that Kishi was "banned" by Unne. Unne wouldn't make a big deal of it out in the forums anyway. He would just do it and be done with it.
Yeah, I just think Raist will notice if Unne's not logged on around the time Kishi is banned. That's the only thing.

Not until you get Unne to agree to it. He's on AIM, and anyone can chat to him, as of my chat to him the other day when I asked him about being open or closed on AIM, he changed to open. Idea - I can temporarily step down in a minor protest at what happens if he gets unbanned after all of this, but then say I'll return later because I wouldn't want people like Kishi to end up throwing out all the good people on staff (like me!). I want to keep my say in staff, of course.

Ok, now for this april fools thread business. This whole time I was thinking that we should have a fake prank ready in case this scenario comes up, but I forgot to mention it. Anyway, I think if we ignore Psy's post it looks bad. I see two options:
1. A serious member like D (since he did the banning and has been disgruntled) or Leeza (since she's always on the up and up) should go in there and tell him that it is not a prank, and then maybe add something about how we had something planned but this might push it back.
2. I go in there and tell him it is a prank. A little reverse psychology (no pun intended). I'll say something like 'how'd you guess?' or 'You are way too smart for us'. Give them so much of the truth that they can't possibly believe it. I will work on my reply post while you guys decide.

On the start of April Fools, we should do a more minor joke, I nominate that we change all the forum links to links to the main forum index, so clicking them will only bring you to where you were before. You'd have to type in the complete url in order to get into the actual forum itself.
That would be a nightmare to do, wouldn't it? :p Unless adding Forum Links to an existing forum does not destroy the contents of the forum. If it doesn't (so is easily undoable), I think that'd be great as a minor joke though, yeah :D

2) Big D, Daryl and Leeza all step down as they feel it was banworthy, and that staff has too many bad issues going on, what with not listening to Big D, elitism, the posting in closed threads and the staff abusing powers.
3) 'Stuff' follows.
4) Roogle closes Feedback.
5) Del Murder and Yams step down.
6) eest and foa are Knighted to fill the gap.

1) Shlup unbans Kishi and re-Knights him. The deal is we say it was going to be part of a joke but people were figuring it out too fast and we were having trouble making it work, and gave up.

The first would cause controversy over bannings and favouritism.
The second would cause conspiracy and controversy, but it's difficult to say if it would fool people... we could even have one of the five who step down reveal everything that went on at some point, making a bit of a rant. I'd say it would best be Big D.

The problem I have with scenario 2 is that some people might believe it, or at least believe it's possible, or even accept it just 'cause they want Kishi back. I'd rather stir up more controversy than lessen it, so I say we go this route, if everyone approves:
Last night I came on to find that the Kishi discussion was going on when Daryl came right in said something like "No way, that's clearly over the line. *ban*" I re-opened the discussion saying he should not be banned for... whatever reason. I gave staff members last night to respond, and because so many opinions are wavering on the subject, as re-Knight him as soon as I log on. You could even say I actually called Sean and asked if I could re-Knight him or something; saying it's not fair because Sean doesn't really know the situation.
Something like that. I'm gonna re-Knight Kishi now and get in the shower.

I also suck at arguing, Matt. It's enough to let everyone know that we're not happy with the unbanning, re-Knighting, etc. I wouldn't really say too much out of the Staff forum anyways so I don't think we have to go into too much detail when we leave. I will say that I don't want a Former Staff title though because I really don't want to be associated with the Staff much anymore if this is their stance on things.

Yesterday, Kawaii Ryukishi was banned from EoFF for posting an inappropriate image. He was banned, just as any other member would have been. It was a huge shock and a disappointment to us all, but the rules are the rules, and those rules are here for the overall good of the forum. Kishi, for whatever reason, compromised those rules and compromised the integrity of EoFF as a whole.
Now, however, he has been un-banned and reinstated as a moderator. Not by a staff consensus, and not because his image was deemed acceptable - he was re-modded because of his 'importance' and 'status' as an EoFF stalwart from the past. I want it to be known that the majority of staff disagree strongly with this action, and we want to make this public in the hope of forcing some responsibility from those others who care more about 'personalities' than about the guidlines and standards that made this place great.
