NikolaDrca sent me regular updates throughout the final weeks of the project. From the very first update I was all "But... it looks done? Am I misreading something? Are you sure you're still working on it? It's amazing!"
And every week, it got better.
I assume the man himself is about to make an entrance.

I'm only on page 15 at the moment, but I just had to comment. This is just so fantastic, and such a fitting way to celebrate the birthday of the forum. I honestly don't think there is a single piece I haven't liked.
Big thank you to the artists for this, I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow and continuing my journey through the game via your imaginations and interpretations.

The angle in the Cloud and Tifa image gives it a dramatic sense; I'm impressed with the very clean and careful lineart, it must have taken a lot of care to put in all those fine lines for the details. Definitely a pivotal moment in Cloud's character development and in how we begin to understand the story.
Very impressive shading and detail in the Vincent image! I really like the eerie blue light illuminating the bricks from one side of the screen; the dim light and texture on the bricks and coffin really gives the sense of a dank, mysterious atmosphere.
Remember those two pics that were both drawn of Sephiroth as he smashed up a monster pod in the Kalm flashback?

Apparently this project has a thing for artists metaphorically completing each other's sentences. xD

Funny thing when I looked at Cid, I always thought that he could be my father because we both had blonde hair and blue eyes. Only difference we have are smoking habits and drinking. I never smoke and I drink coffee while Cid do smoke and drinks tea. XD

Both Cid pieces are great. Shera's so tough to put with Cid for so long, haha.

Final Fantasy VII is known for some random instances, but this scene had to be the most random one in the game. Palmer is a weird, porky little guy. The whole party was in Cid's backyard when the truck won the boss fight. I wonder were the truck came from...

Holy flip that Rocket Town. I'll think of something to say when I've picked my jaw up off the floor, I can't imagine how much time and effort all that detail must have taken. Captures the place perfectly, all that texture on everything is fantastic and the rocket as the centerpiece looks just like I remember it. Really like all the added touches of life like the birds on the roofs and the bright green, blue and red palette.
