Just because it's a Dream Weapon, doesn't mean it necessarily has to have a large attack power. For example, The Dream Wand and Shield have different stats from their Awakening counterparts. All three of the Awakening Weapons have the same attack power.

You don't even get a mythil shard in Wonderland. You don't get one until I believe Deep Jungle. So as long as you even thought about picking a mythil shard you already lost.
