I'll consider it.
Ohh, and if someone finds a 450+ defense Archon Plate with 3Os, tell me. I have recently found the items required to make myself this shiny thing called Enigma.
EDIT: We need to find a way to get LoD for Cruise Control.
Question. The Lilith quest. I'm assuming this is a Hell only things?
Yes.
Pandamonium event is a uber character thing only. No hybrid or poorly built character could hope to survive in those areas, partially because of the immunities and the high amounts of HP for enemies.
Essentially, what you do, is do a bunch of Countess (Black Marsh's The Tower), Summoner (Arcane Sanctuary), and Nihlatak (Halls of Vaught), which drop the three keys, Hate, Destruction, and Terror keys. after synthesyzing them in the Cube, you get to fight an uber boss, Litith (Andariel palette swap), Uber Duriel (Hell palette), and Uber Izual (normal colors). They drop the Brain, eye, and Heart of the three Brothers. When the organs are synthesized together, they lead to Uber Tristram, where you fight Uber Mephisto, Uber Baal, and Pandamonium Diablo. The last one that dies drops a Torch, a Large Charm with random +3 skills to a certain class, and random + attributes, and random + resistances.
Hrmmm...does it have to be done solo, or can I ask for help?
You can get help, but only one Torch will drop. In addition, a character can only hold one Torch at a time. The last brother killed will also drop one Standard of Heroes per character in game. All these signify is that you beat Pandamonium Event, and you can hold as many as you'd like. Ignore the level requirement, because it does nothing.
The portals can only be opened in Harrogath, Hell mode. Enemies also begin spawning when you enter, and are considerably more difficult than most enemies, despite how similar they look.
If you want to solo Pandamonium, the only character that can do it is a Frenzy Barbarian with level 20 Berserk Synergy and the best possible gear, or, the more popular alternative, a Smiter with the best equipment that Diablo 2 can afford.
LOL! So basically, help isn't something that I can ask for, it's pretty much a necessity.
BTW, my knowledge of runes is, to be polite, limited. Jah + Ith + Ber. I forget the name, but I saw an armor with them in it, and it was quite good. How many firstborns will I have to sell to get my hands on 'em?
Yes. Even I can't do Uber Tristram with my Barbarian, or my Hammerdin yet. I can do the Key Runs, but there's no guarantee that I will survive, since the Countess spawns Physical Immunes in her croft.
40 or more, each firstborn meaning a Perfect Gem, and one for Jah and Ber. Ith can be found rather frequently, so no cost there. The Armor is called Enigma, and it is considered the BEST runeword in the game, even better than Last Wish, Jah + Mal + Jah + Sur + Jah + Ber, and Breath of the Dying, Vex + Hel + El + Eld + Zod + Eth, two equally respected weapon runewords.
I already have Jah, Ith, and Ber. All I need now is the 3Os Archon Plate, which is the optimal equipment for Enigma.
:( No lovin' for the Giga?
*ducks flying blunt object* KIDDING! Kidding!
The only reason I'm so rich is because I haven't stopped playing.
My Fire Sorceress can even make me fried chicken. But I prefer my Beef RARE; five seconds on each side.
Reminds me of the 8-Bit Theater comment.
"It was flash fried in 6 seconds. It was dead for 5."
Thanks for the charm Tav. That and remembering that I had the Fade ability (I am so used to using Burst of Speed), I was able to get through the Gloams and such and kill Mephisto. I can now to Travincal runs. Don't know if I should try hell yet, the gloam types might get the better of me.
Gloams don't appear in Hell Travincal, and surprisingly enough, Hell Travincal is arguably more difficult than anything in the previous acts, whether for MF or for experience. You can continue through Hell, if you'd like, you seem to be strong enough to handle it.
In Hell Travincal, the enemy pattern is always the same.
Zealots (Animal)
Heirophant, uses Blizzard, Lightning, but not nearly as good as a Gloam Lightning (Animal)
Water Watchers, uses Poison Knockback attack skills (Animal)
Death Lords, uses Fire Ball, Meteor, and Fire Wall (Demons)
Council (Demons)
Also, at level eighty, you'll pretty much stop gaining levels without outside help, or unless you can go through the entire game without dying more than once per act (with the exception of Act IV).
EDIT: I told you that one of these days, those Spirits would pay off! One of my 35% Spirit Broad Swords just netted me 2 Mals, 2 Ists, and a Vex! Not an actual show of how valuable Spirit is, but it was totally worth it.
Oh, when I said hell I meant act IV, not hell difficulty. I did the travincal on hell difficulty, died once, but it was my own fault. Surprisingly didn't die once while fighting Mephisto, and only used three full rejuvinication potions, and not a one for my merc (shadow master died several times though). Got a really crappy drop from him though, especially considering I ran into at least 10 unique items on my way to him.
Edit: I have a question about stacking "X% extra gold from monsters". I got an ethereal Crown of Thieves, and I gave it to my merc. So now he has 83% more gold from monsters. Does that just work for his kills, or does mine add to his and now all the kills are the cumulative sum?
You should be fine, I thinks.
EDIT: Gold and MF work in the same way, so gold I believe is cumulative, if the merc scores the kill.
ADDENDUM: GG owes me his firstborn, since I just traded a high rune for Aldur's Armor.
