The way the editing staff puts up the articles, for each page on the frontsite there is a corresponding thread. So those should count.

It seems like any comments you put on one appears in the other, anyway. So yes, they would count regardless?

That is how it's supposed to work. Note the word supposed, we've had some linking issues in that past our developers have worked on so if you see comments appearing on one but not the other feel free to let me know.
