My school is very strict on attendance. I don't even think of skipping lesson, as if your attendance dips lower than 90% you get contacted at home and Id be screwed. Also, If your caught you get put on report. (basically, a report is that your being watched and monitored. Every teacher you have has to write something about you to be signed by head of year staff & parents)
I've been to 2 of my classes in the past week. I have 12 a week. I was ill for 2 days, though. :jess:
Up untill the end of High school I never missed a class unless I was ill but in College I cut classes left right and centre and for 2 years I managed to do ok (but then I was studying ICT and Japanese, the ICT was not hard at all but the Japanese I could pick up easily from a girl who I spoke to in clubs and pubs who was japanese) The third year I was cutting classes due to being very messed up in the head and it was crazy I couldn't keep up and in the end had to drop out of the college before the threw me out. (I had 5 minutes to decide on it literally) I was studying Law, English lang and lit combined and Sociology. A pity because I loved the english and sociology lessons my sociology tutor was great.
Given the choice to go back I wouldn't have cut any classes at all ever I'd have taken every class even if cutting that class would have meant meeting a girl or something.
I skip at least once per week. Last week was the first week of school after break. It was a 4 day week. I showed up to school once.
I never skip classes. Ever. I missed one tutorial last year because I had the flu and about a total of 5 minutes of lecturing last year due to poor timekeeping
I skip pretty often. It depends on my workload, if I absolutely must go to class to work on something, I will. However, if I have nothing to do in the class, or have nothing that isn't due anytime soon, I usually can be found in the library, caf, or forest smoking up near my school.
EDIT: To give you a clearer picture, here are the abscences on my last report card~
History - Ten abscences
Latin - Nine abscences
Lunch~
Math - Twenty abscences
English - Twenty-nine abscences.
My English teacher didn't know who I was for awhile.
