Only if I'm actually laughing I don't use lol that much usualy I put down "hah" or I tell the person that it was funny.
It bothers me not knowing wether my friends are really laughing or not becuase half the time I can't tell it really wasn't that funny.:crying:

Replace lol with xD, and then the answer is yes. Every single time. There's no point in xDing if you're not laughing.
Chances are, if I ever actually typed LOL, I'd be too busy wanting to kill myself for using net lingo to bother laughing.

I use it every now and then, but when I'm really laughing I use "LMAO." I use "ROFL" when I find something slightly funnier than in "LMAO" status... And finally I use "ROFLMAO" when I see something that can potentially kill me from laughter.

Sometimes I will just write lol because I have nothing else to say. Whether I'm actually laughing or not is pretty simple to figure out -- did you say something funny or not? :jess:
