Jeff Dunham and The Amazing Johnathan
Demetri Martin, Pablo Fransisco and Dance Cook. :)
Gaffigan love
Jeremy Hotz was amusing too. Just to name someone not yet listed
Billy Connolly, there will be no greater. This thread has reached its natural conclusion.
Jimmy Carr's pretty good too.
Yes. Holy crap are they bad.
Seeing that Mencia is still on TV makes me want to hurt people. His show started as a poor replacement for Chapelle's Show and somehow stayed on air long enough to gain popularity with the inbred masses and oh god it makes me so angry.
Dane Cook. I really despise MadTV but they really hit the nail on the head with it. Cook's really interesting, though, because he's so divisive. His fans are like... obsessive, and then outside of those people, they hate him. And I still think he's every bit the joke thief that Carlos Mencia is. I don't care if they 'made them popular.' Having appeal to the MTV crowd and telling jokes some other much funnier person came up with doesn't make you a good comedian, it makes you a jackass.
I really like Demetri Martin. He's basically my favorite. Zach Galifinakis, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, and others that I can't think of (haven't watched much stand-up in a while) are pretty awesome too.
Mitch Hedberg, the Python gang, Rowan Atkinson circa Blackadder, Bill Bailey, Billy Connelly, Fry & Laurie.
@ Roto: So everyone who ever tells 'The Aristocrats' has stolen the joke from whoever came up with it first?
Russell brand and David mitchell. (if he counts)
You can't "steal" The Aristocrats. It is not a joke in and of itself. It is a formula for a joke. Every person who tells The Aristocrats tells it in a different way.
