As much of a whiny little annoying bitch that Tidus is, I have to go with Seymour, there's just something about him everytime he shows up and everytime he opens his mouth that just makes you think to yourself (OH FFS, YOU F*** OFF, IM REALLY NOT IN THE MOOD FOR YOUR CRAP).
Tidus and Auron are both annyoying, they are the epitome of the two worst RPG archetypes. Tidus is overly cheerful and selfish and Auron is overly dickish and superior.
They had cool backstories and were useful in combat.
In fact, all FFX characters are archetypes, but with redeeming qualities that make them better characters.
Yuna is the Codependent chick, who isn't codependent and strong-willed.
Rikku is hyperactive and bubbly, but smart and kinda funny sometimes.
Wakka is the buddish nice but holier-than-thou guy who actually went through some development.
Kimahri is the silent but observant guy who was totally useless in combat.
And Lulu was the tough smart chick who was unique in that she totally had a sense of humor.
Yuna has the most annoying voice of anyone ever, real or otherwise.
