Not really, in Dai-Ou-Jou. I kind of think DOJ was CAVE's try at combining a danmaku (bullet curtain/bullet hell, commonly has lots and lots of slow moving bullets) with a normal fast paced shooter game, where the bullets are fewer and much faster. However, CAVE games like Mushihimesama are very pattern based, boss-wise, at least.Quote:

Perfect Cherry Blossom and Touhou shmups in general differ in that they're easier than most other shooting games at normal difficulty (but hellishly evil at Lunatic, the hardest difficulty), and tend to focus on patterns that are much slower, but also very complex at the same time. Think of it as a real-time puzzle.
