Far-flung in this case means 'distant'. Well, I worry that my riddles are too easy, but I guess I shouldn't. I'll post a hint below.

Basically a demo. No skill needed, you're guaranteed to win (eventually).

And Chocobos make good eats for monsters (especially the Chocobo Eater in FFX, which could be the far flung future?).

But he said close when I said Tifa's Final Heaven limit break... But then again that has nothing to do with the rest of it... ughh I bet it's so obvious!

He also said close when I said the tank from Sector 7. This is the most confusing riddle I've ever read.

So apparently it has to do with limit breaks because Final Heaven was close and Dice is close.... Umm is it Chaos (lolz)

Final Limits seems to be a pattern...
