A Cid's Knight merged your post with Lynx's for some odd reason (hint: he was 1/3 of Award Cerberus). It's too bad, too, because had your votes counted you would have decided the Han & Leia vs. Holmes & Watson match the other way. As a consolation, I will count your vote as double for this round.
You try to come up with 16 relevant pairings that most people would know about and have personalities that differ to the extent that it would make sense as MLT awards. I think the Events Committee and I did pretty well with most of them. Don't blame me if the voting prefers more 'classic' pairings.
This round is hotly contested so I will leave it open for a couple more hours to try and get some spacing between the matches.

I just realized you haven't included the pony pairing in this tournament. :(
Sorry for the delay. I was waiting for the ties to be broken and then I got busy.
Semifinals Results
A. Batman & The Joker - 7
A. Han Solo & Princess Leia - 6
B. Frodo Baggins & Samwise Gamgee - 7
B. Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert - 7 (tie broken by Miriel)
I'm a bit disappointed that Batman & The Joker has made it so far, mainly because it's not a very clever pairing and we've already had a MLT be Batman award in the past (although I can't deny their awesome). They may win, as the lack of international support for Stewart & Colbert may do them in. Or maybe the cult following of Comedy Central's award-winning news duo will be enough.

I have added a poll to the thread. Please vote for the winner by voting in the poll.
While I do share your sentiment regarding Batman/Joker, I have no idea on who the others are and that has forced my hand. Sorry!

Don't tell me you have never heard of these guys before.

Why would someone vote for Jon and Stephen? We already have a Funniest Member category and both halves of the pair are funny. We need not three Funniest Member awards, people. Batman is trying to commit Joker to a loony bin and Joker is trying to blow everyone up. The level of difference between dynamics is pretty clear.
They look like Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright in that picture.
While Batman and Joker are classic, I feel that Stewart and Colbert will provide for more amusing winners. They are both funny, but they do have very different personalities. Plus they are more comtemporary.
good timing on my part.
as usual, I agree with Del Murder. :shifty:
Yay!
