Private Messages

I PM people all the time. Like a hundred PMs a week to dozens and dozens of EoFFers. If you haven't gotten a PM from me in the past week, it probably means something terrible and should be considered a big snub.

We can see people's PMs if we plug our way through the vB database but I don't think anyone on staff would actually do that intrusively. We have logs that show all queries that are run anyway - I know I've looked up my PMs in the database before, though, along with those specified by other people that were giving them problems (back before we had the reported post feature). I don't believe they've ever been looked at without the permission of either the sender or the receiver.

I PM once in a while. Not usually for nothing or casual chat though, that's what I use the visitor messages or chat for :monster:

PM'ing people is a fantastic thing, so, yes.

PM-ing people is what really gott me sticking to this site. Back in the day I used to have huge private message conversations with Leen-Leen, Dynast-Kid, Psychotic, and much, much more! :)

Now I mainly just PM for stuff I do for the site and for surveying newbies. For interacting with peeps I use chat.
