After the guy who invented Monopoly made the board, he needed pieces for it. So he opened up his childrens' toy chest and found small metal tokens just like our beloved pieces.

ok, ther american version is different isn't it? :) cus the game i had, had a dog, a top hat, a car, an ocean liner kinda boat, boot, and the iron. waht did u lot have?
