Kary doesn't run unless you play your cards right! In other words, most people would not expect a boss to be able to run. The only time Kary runs (and only the first time you fight her) is if you cast FEAR. Furthermore, because her morale is 255, your level needs to be pretty high, and there is still a chance that it won't work.
I don't see a problem with the STUN-spell category (which includes FEAR) being Kary's weakness. In case you weren't aware, using the Bane Sword on Tiamat is sometimes enough to bring her down in a single blow (BANE is her weakness). Most folks just wouldn't expect it, that's all.

As much as I appreciate the White Mage (my Dragon Warrior online character was a Pilgrim), fighting with only White Mages can be a tough game! However, I thought about it the other day, and if you balanced out their weak fighting ability with black belts, you would have an inexpensive powerhouse which was able to maintain itself!
The party would be either:
(A) 3-Black Belts, 1-White Mage, or...
(B) 2-Black Belts, 2-White Mages.
Black belts hit really hard later on, and are super fast without their weapons (lots of hits). However they can't equip much (and therefore take alot of damage), so they need a healer to be present.
