*thinks back to when he played it* It was weird anyways what I put ex: BB2N or something of the sort, it was like my firts initial twice then a number then my last initial....I think, and I did that with people I knew (I was the WM though, always liked cure spells)

I can't stand the NES version- too buggy. When I first played through the Origins remake my names were: Kain (Warrior), Quinn (Red Mage), Dana (White Mage) and Ivan (Black Mage).
I very much like the auto-naming feature in DoS. I've played through that version several times and I always name the characters as such:
Warrior: Argus
Monk: Maduin
Thief: Kelga
White Mage: Sarina
Black Mage: Gilles
Red Mage: Duane
I never have more than one of each class in any given party.
