Yea but mine sounds more badass. And I am fairly certain the basics of my story are "true" to the mythology as well.

He did both. Tied himself to the world tree *and* gave his eye to teh well of wisdom.

Did he not just sacrifice it for knowledge? I don't know if there was a specific procedure to him sacrificing his eye though...

first of all, he's a necromancer, which is cool, then he has a long spear "Gungnir" and a sword, which believe it or not is called "Zantetsuken" according to myth (or so i have read) and he has a six legged horse "Sleipnir"...
you can tell i like Odin, he rocks!! same as Bahamut really...ony hes a dragon.
