Shift+8 or numpad?

It's less effort for a touch typist to do Shift+8 than it is to drag your hand over to the other end of the keyboard.

I use * to make a *.

Shift+8. Im not going near that num pad unless I have to.

Shift. But not 8, I don't use an English keyboard.
