I can't say they were the best 2005 had to offer, but the ones I had more fun with were Radiata Stories and Soul Calibur III.

I'd probably say Call of Duty 2 for the PC. Although multiplayer is a major letdown compared to the previous installments, I still loved the single player campaigns and play through them regularly.
