They were the best headliners at Download festival. They were so much better then I expected :D (they should have been doing the main headline instead of Guns n Roses as they were awful)

You burn out from going too slow and getting bored." The boys should look back at Cliff's words of wisdom.
And to all of us for saying that Metallica need to change and stuff here's Cliff's words again throwing us in the ditch “We do what we wanna do--if they consider that selling out… Whatever.” this is the same arsonist of Hetfield's couch.
In my opinion, you really can't beat Blackened in terms of greatness.
I heard Between The Buried And Me covered that song, must be amazing.
And Holier Than Thou is by far the greatest song off of the black album.
:D
Their new stuff is ok but I like their old stuff better.
i pretty much agree with what you said ... Dyer's Eve is one of the best songs ... (speed and dex wise) ...Quote:

hears the deal ... i am only 23 but ever since i was a fetus ... i listened to Metallica ... my mother went to a Metallica show when they open'd for OZZY when she was like 6 months i think ... i play guitar and i learn'd to play by playing Metallica ... i had so much respect for them as artists .
BTW there is no better way to Psych up than to play Fight fire with fire or Damage Inc. , etc -on the guitar to the song- (IMO) ... so ppl who talk about anything after black ... (and i only liked 4 songs off black ...) ...(And Enter Sandman is DEF. NOT ONE OF THEM) as being a favorite Metallica album , or greatest album ... i have to wonder ...
i do understand the whole experimenting thing ... but honestly ... Metallica isn't even about the music anymore ... why do you think they sux so damn much !!! they r just tryin to make a quick buck ...
Do i have to say it again ... (?) ANY BAND THAT SUES THEIR FANS CAN GO STR-8 TO HELL ! ...
and if i offended anyone ... i am not sorry ... feel free to flame me all you want ... i love a good fight ... and when they sue you ... lets hear if you sing a different tune.
In sumation ... i better stop before i go on a murderous rampage ...
Meh, it was only Lars Ulrich who launched the napster pursuit, Hetfield was in rehab and Kirk was staying out. There are better bassists now then Burton but not one of 'em in Metallica, Newsted was alright but Trujillo kicks his ass. I liked Enter Sandman and some of the Black album and some of load and st anger. They're not the worst music, but now that Bob Rock is gone there's room for change.
I was so smurfing happy when Bob Rock left, that PANSY!Quote:

I'm rooting for them, but until they impress me again I'll just continue to enjoy their first 5 albums.
I have an estranged theory about him but not for here...Quote:

heh, I like their approach, but in the end all I care 'bout is if it's THRASHY enough for me...you the riffs and the way they SOUND and the drumming.......and the lyrics, if the lyrics is just a bunch of whining then "bye bye!"Quote:

This is THE MetallicA thread, so you can go ahead and say your theory, we just all have to respect it.
Ok, my theory is quite stupid. Bob most likely did something stupid and I think he was a bit bent as you may say. Well you know that Hetfield blew his voice out on the Black Album, if you've heard the way he's been singing recently live you'll see what he can do when he tries hard enough. I hope the album is going to have a theme, like MOP, AJFA and St Anger.
lol, nah, I don't think Bob would be THAT dumb/un-moral...but who knows :laugh:Quote:
