My rule used to be that they had to be within 25% of my age for me to go out with them, but then I met Danielle and broke that rule 'cause I couldn't figure out any other reason not to go out with her. So, with that being said, noting I'm 22...
Too old? I'm not into older women in general. 24 is probably pushing it with me.
Too young? So long as they're legal and it doesn't weird you out then I guess it's up to you. But, uh, try not to get too far out of it. The youngest a girl could be for me to go out with her is 16 years old - Danielle's age and the legal age for consent in the UK & NZ and therefore in my head, it's also the legal age.
When I'm 30, I wouldn't hook up with a 16 year old though. It'd probably be more like 23-33 at that point. Hopefully I won't have to think too hard on it though.

Until 7 years i think, I use to hang out with a guy who had 23 and I'm 17 and we were perfect friends and somehoe we were also a very good couple...

5 years and 14 days. Not a day older than that!
And I've never ever ever wanted or even considered going out with someone less than a few months younger than me. The idea never used to cross my mind.

I was in a relationship with a girl younger than me... She's fourteen, and I'm eighteen next month. I always felt guilty about being with her, and it never worked anyway. It certainly wouldn't work now as we're both back at school/college and therefore would only be able to see each other on Saturdays (she's quite far from me).

I doesn't matter. True love is blind - so if you're really in love with someone age should not be a problem. I mean, I have a friend who is 18 and his girlfriend is 29. When I first found out about it I was like: "Eeeh, it may be pushing the limit... just a bit," but now I'm fine with it. If it works for them and they're happy then I cannot see why I should have a problem with it.

If true love was really blind there would be a lot more happy ugly people.

True love is blind, but only to certain things. It just means that you don't see some bad things about someone that you would see if you were not in love with them. Some bad things. Not all.

I prefer the phrase love makes you blind.
... and retarded.

Meh, love schmove. I can't be bothered with the hassle of even trying anymore. The one relationship I thought was going to last went pretty wrong, so screw it. I think many people seek love because they're expected to. I'm tired of living up to society/life/family's expectations.

I give myself + and - 44 year boundaries (that's 44 years either way) :jess: That means I will date people who are 60 or -28. Man, those unborn things :jokey:

Until the age of 18 +- two years sound fine, after 20 and older, age doesn't matter.
-
If I fall in love I don't care about the age difference. Yes if I dated a guy thats 80 that would be a bit dosgy but age never matters. Its the person that you're in love with that does ^^
Although saying that I have never dated anyone more then 3 years older then me.

dating is for chumps anyway...i'm going to get one of those mail-order brides someday

My last boyfriend was 3 years older, so age isnt that much of a problem. 4-5 years would be my limit, ish.
It all changes once you get past teenage years, though. Age dosn't become an issue.
