I just say thanks to the person that complimented me unless they're being sarcastic.
the compliments are usually followed by:
1) a quiet "thank you"...:)
2) how flattering...
3) feels a little like...:riiight:
4) or maybe like...:thumb:
I just smile and say "NO". :chef:
I'm quite modest so mostly I'll just blush and/or studder and mumble a "thank you". I'm usually not good at accepting compliments.
I usually get shy and say 'Thankyou' quietly. Or return the compliment, of course. :jess:
Sure
Whatever
Shutup
Thanks
Okay
...
These are all employed quite frequently by myself when complimented. I truly do not enjoy such things, though, unless they are being given by someone to which I care of their opinion or observation(s).
Say thanks? Wow
Hmm I used to get all embarrased and just mumble stuff like "thanks but I really don't see what you see" but my confidence has increased about a million times since then and now I will generally throw modesty out the window and just go "I know, can't help being gorgeous ;) being gods gift to women is a hard job.) whilst grinning (the wink would be given) I'm cheeky to the point of rudeness but as I learnt on the tills at work when I do say stuff like that I get smiles and much better convo's with people.
I either don't accept a compliment because I have low self-esteem, compliment them back, blush, or hide.
I say thank you usually unless its someone I dont like then I just sigh and walk away.
Normally when I am complimented, I merely smile and thank them for their kindness that they were showing me. :kaoplain:
Actually just today or a couple hours ago someone complimented me on my shirt or they thought it looks good on me and I just sort of smiled.:)
Sometimes I get all blushy again depending on who complimented me but people I'm close to I generaly make a joke about it.
I usually say 'awwwww thank you' ^^" othertimes I just blush!
I got told on boxing day that I had grown in to a very handsome young man and had done myself proud being it came from my sister-in-law's sister I was a little thrown especially when my sister-in-law's mother and father agreed with her at that point I admit I blushed and just said "umm thanks" but beyond that I was the usual me again.
I usually don't say thank you, but just carry on with the conversation, unless if the compliment is wrong, I'll refute it. The only time when I say thank you is when I'm with people that aren't my friends, like teachers or something.
