Well, if you had no input on those moves, do you want a rematch? Perhaps it wasn't fair on you.
You can time out on moves. But it's a pretty lengthy time. I don't think I've ever seen a move time out, so I have no clue what would happen. Maybe it would just do nothing? If so, it should be pretty obvious from the replay... Or maybe it just chooses the first move?Quote:

Edit; i watched the replay. And it uses the first move. This is most evident at audino who would never spam dazzling gleam. And lopunny vecause using retaliate twice in a row wont work. Besides id use thunder punch anyway.

I beat Indy, though it wouldn't give me a code. 3-0 for me as well. Also with a five man team. He doesn't seem happy with the Beedrill. :(
There are competitors here who have Grass types. Beedrill would do well against them, I think.
Beedrill has really good coverage. Drill Run gives it fantastic Ground, which mixes well with Poison and Bug. It's just really, REALLY frail.

Bibarel is annoying as smurf. I also had a mindfart and thought Ghost beat Dark and not the other way around. I am not quite sure how that one makes sense...
Ghosts are afraid of the dark, which is why they come find people at night so they aren't alone anymore. Makes perfect sense. :3
There really is no explanation for the Dark type (or "Evil" type, in Japan). It doesn't make a lot of sense, it was just put in to ruin game balance.
It's weak to Fighting because?
It's weak to Bug because?
Steel resists it because?
It's strong against Ghosts because?
It's negates Psychics because?
Oh, and Fairy beats it because it was absurdly broken and needed a counter. So, again, balance reasons.
Yeah, fighting in the dark is not very effective.
Guys, I'm sorry I haven't been posting here much lately. In taking some much needed vacation and really did not have the time to do anything tournament-related. Since I'm so late and I know there's a handful of people who still haven't battled at all, do you think it'd be okay if I extended the deadline a bit more? I know we all want to rack up as many points as we can!

the lack of interest in this thread is disturbing..
i can think of 2 things:
- there is a new thread nobody has told me of and you all moved there
- ppl are (mentaly) done with battling and we need to move on to the next round
I haven't been able to battle because I've just moved back across the world and have been stressing out with money and job hunting, as well as family commitments as I have a sick grandpa. Bad timing for me, and I shouldn't have joined up to the event, really, all things considered.

We're moving on to the next round Monday evening. Night, you can still battle, if you have the time. Even if you don't battle during the preliminaries, you can still take part in the bracket. You'll just have fewer points, so less of a chance to join a higher-tier bracket.
It's actually meant to be about dirty fighting and tricks. Which is why fighting beats it - a trained fighter wins with it because of their formal training and they can see through the dark type's shady tactics. I guess that logic can be extended to the other types as well. I guess Fairy types are better because in fairy tails evil always loses.Quote:
