Lydia is Barbariccia, since they're both scantily-clad misfits (one being a human raised by Phantom Beasts, the other being a woman in an all-male group). Edge is Scarmiglione, since they're the weakest in their respective groups outside of some cheap tricks (the Kitchen Knife and Curse/attacking from behind). Cain is Rubicante, since they're both brooding drama queens. That leaves Rosa and Cagnazzo, who both, uh...hung out in Baron Castle.

At the beginning, why do Cecil and the Soldiers fly to Mysidia when they could have used the Devil's Road? The White Mage in Mysidia said that they closed the Devil's Road AFTER the attack.

The devil's road saps your vitality. Plus, it would be awfully hard to get all the soldiers through that tiny door--if the Mysidians fought back in that situation, the Red Wings' numbers wouldn't count for much.
