I think it looks really nice, Liz. The colors go well together too. :)
Jus' a little tip since transparents are my expertise. ;D Zoom in, a lot, and use a 1 pixel erase tool and get as close to the outline of the hair/bow/whatever else there could be, that'll do away with the white outlining. White is the hardest to do, since you can't see it well on transparent, so what I usually do is copy and paste that layer onto another canvas with a dark background.
They're really quite good for just starting out with the style. =)

The white can be a problem, but yeah use zoom and trim it off. I love the background for that Lady Fair sig. Very nice gentle colours.
