Missed all the action as I was gigging last night. Just watched the highlights and yeah... WORLD BEATERS.

That was entirely the fault of Old Manus. Big Andy - who, let us not forget, scored in the last Euros - must never be insulted or besmirched.
Liking the tasty chat about Rooney starting this summer. I think fans are looking at him after last night and being reminded of 10 years of boring dross from successive England teams made up of uninterested club players. That's not to say that New England will be any different, but at least they're something new. I think he'll probably be in at least one starting XI anyway, but who's to say he won't finally actually be good at a tournament now that he'll be playing with a midfield that doesn't include Milner, Barry and Lampard?

Also don't kid yourself, Milner's on the plane. Which is fine, in a squad with limited numbers having a player who can feasibly play in 4 or 5 positions is good. Just as long as he's not #1 choice for any of them, which fingers crossed he won't be but who knows with Roy. To be honest though, quite why we need both him and Henderson (the "we" can be either Liverpool or England) when they are the exact same player I don't know.
