I've been in a bit of a retro mood the last two days.
Casablanca - Having heard the quote "We'll always have Paris" made the ending very predictable fairly early in the movie. Bogart had some nice quick snappy dialogue that was fun, and I have to say it was the highlights of the movie for me. Still, the fact that they made this movie during the war is quite awesome. 6/10
Some Like it Hot - I decided to see this movie because I realized I had never seen a movie with Marilyn Monroe. Much to my surprise Jack Lemmon turned out to be most awesome part about this movie and I simply loved it. Jack Lemmon is a genius and I can't wait to see more movies of him. 8/10
Ilsa - Uh, this is a very weird movie! I'm impressed that this was made in the 70's. It's just so obscene. Not sure it's possible to even rate this movie xD It was entertaining in a sick way, I suppose.
Prince of Persia
While entertaining and all I noticed that its exactly like The Mummy or Pirates of the Caribbean. Its like Jerry Bruckheimer uses the same formula for each movie "high paced, lots of action, cocky male main character," and obviously a love interest who is forced to work with the said cocky male main character.

Little Miss Sunshine
Very entertaining movie I thought. Although I hesitate to believe that it's possible to drive your bus over a thousand miles without the use of a clutch. :p Oh and the little girl is extremely adorable.
I saw Prince of Persia and Shrek 4 with a group of friends. I thought PoP was ok, but I personally loved Shrek. The last movie I saw though was The Prestige featuring Christian Bale with another one of my friends. Freggin' blew my mind at the ending, we talked about the movie for an hour, and this was at 5:00 in the morning t'boot.

Last night I watched Lilo and Stitch. I realized it has been years since I saw it and I needed to correct that. I never realized how depressing it is for most of the movie and all the details on how Lilo and Nani were thrown into a horrible situation that neither was able to handle. For all the crazy antics and hilarity that Stitch brings, it was surprisingly mature and it completely changes the way I look at the movie. Definitely recommend anyone who has never seen it or has not seen it recently to watch it.

Even though the coloring of the film was highly unrealistic, it looked great. Unlike in The Professional, Gary Oldman wasn't completely campy; which was refreshing. If you like dystopian films you will probably really appreciate the settings in this film, but I can't promise you'll appreciate the religious plot. If you don't believe in it's message then hardly anything will be believable in this film. None the less, it's still entertaining. Also the soundtrack was amazing. Atticus did a great job developing an original score for the film. This song = yum.
Unthinkable

The beginning was a bit odd and confusing. The viewers will know just as much as Carrie Anne Moss' character. At first it looks like it's just going to be a film about a American terrorist making who claims his bombs will detonate if his demands are not met. It ends up turning into a film about morality, righteous, and how it conflicts with the need of survival. Samuel L. Jackson is once again amazing at being evil like he was in Lakeview Terrace.
Alice in Wonderland
smurf you tim burton...It wasn't as bad as I thought, and some of the voice actors were rockin' choices, but ultimately, I have fallen asleep trying to watch it twice..just can't get into it
Maybe I should have seen it 3D.
The Man From Earth.
A group of people in a room. Talking. Pretty much the entire film is set in one room. Talking.
And it's smurfing fantastic. The idea itself is magnificent, even if the acting is nothing to write home about. It's not amazingly magnificent, but it would be ruined if it was. It's not supposed to be a film, as such. It's supposed to look like a group of people in a room, talking. And it does!
The Road

A friend of mine had recommended this to me, so I decided to give it a shot. This film must have received very little advertising because if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have heard about it. The dark setting really sets the tone for this dystopian film. Viggo is great in his role and it even appears that he pulled a Christian Bale and ended up losing an unhealthy amount of weight for the role. The boy who plays The Son was very annoying and whiny though.
Seriously Moonlight
I need to stop watching movies simply for the inclusion of one actor or actress. One of the most horrific experiences of my entire life.
Quin, The Man from Earth was fantastic.
