FOA is right. That area is gorgeous, with a ton of stuff to do. If you visit her the only thing that would rival the scenery would be your hostess. ;)

Fast food in general is everywhere.
Nc is gorgeous I agree, but I feel that the humidity and just overall feel of the place kills it for me.
As for stuff to do, I feel compelled to disagree. I can literally drive for 10 minutes and find fantastic areas for backpacking, camping, rock-climbing etc. In NC, it required far more time for less enjoyment. Maybe I'm just really biased because of my terrible time while living there. Yeah, that's most likely it.
