FFVIII is the best Coolest story and best characters...

FFT, mainly because the plot is compelling and more palatable for adults. The strategy element is a lot of fun, and combined with the job system, it offers a lot of opportunity for variety.

Final Fantasy VII because it was my first RPG ever and I cried when Aeris died.

FFX, the story is just amazing. I've gone through and played (not finished) every other game bit FFX definatly takes the spot as my favourite and I must admit, my first true love.

Would have to be FF8, so much fun, great story, we all love Squall and by far my favourite mini game, Triple Triad =D Catchy tune.

Love FF IV because of what happens to Cecil and Kain, and the spoony bard, and FuSoYa the mop-man, and because I love Wayrift and the Sygnus network way too much. ^_^

FFVII is my fav cuz it took my FF virginity, and its the best ever. Then I went on to X, X-2, XII, CC, XIII, and currently playing II. :jess:

My favorite would have to be Final Fantasy XII, especially the International Zodiac Job System version. I know many people disagree, but I really enjoyed the non-linear approach it had, even if the game got a bit repetitive at times. :)

...Okay, so my haikus stink. I love FF6! Edgar hitting on Relm is always hilarious and cringe-worthy. FF9 and FF10 are close runners-up. :)

Though my name suggests otherwise, Final fantasy 9 really remains my favorite. I still say FF7 had the best materia system, FF9 brought the roots together with a great story and remains the game I go back to time after time.
