I had never heard of this movie until this thread popped up. I've been really intrigued, but I doubt I'll get to see it in theaters. I'm broke.
Also, I'm uncultured and have never seen 2001: A Space Odyssey. Someday I'll have to remedy that.
Edit: 3D glasses over my glasses have never bothered me, either. I've never seen a 3D movie that I felt was worth the extra money, though. I hope I can actually see this one in IMAX 3D if I can just to see if it truly does enhance the experience for me.
It is a fact that everything except the main characters Sandra and George is unreal..the technology is really been poured which has lead to create a masterpiece.
This is unexpected acclaim. I had already written it off. Did any of you see the trailers, perchance? I want to know if it ruined everything or not, because right now it seems like it shows a lot.
I saw one of the trailers. I'm not really sure which one, but it definitely didn't ruin the experience at all. This isn't really a film about plot, anyway. It's more about the character development and the journey that causes it.
@Spuuky: What did you not like about 2001?
Haven't seen this but just posting to school Shorty on how wrong she is about Sandra Bullock.
I have never seen a movie of Sandra Bullock's that I thought, "wow, that really blew me away"
Have you seen The Blind Side? It's meant to be pretty good. I haven't though. It's on my list... whether Philip wants to watch it too though....
This alone proves how amazing she is. Even if this was a terrible movie, this scene made up for it. Betty White is also awesome, of course.
Also Crash - even though it wasn't a Sandra movie, it was epic.
Nope! Have not seen it.
The blind side is super mega good. I love me some sandy b.
I need to see this movie super bad.
The Blind Side and Crash are good, but this is the best Sandra Bullock performance: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g4l1k4XLvo0
Sandra Bullock is amazing in this. Amazing "invisible editing" and visuals. My bf hated it but then again he thought all the Twilight films were great. I smell Oscar noms.
