I get that match practice is needed before the World Cup, but most countries are playing three games before the tournament starts which I think is too risky. We've already lost big names like Falcao and (possibly) Suarez right at the end of the regular season, and of course now Montolivo, at this rate Ronaldo will be next.
Saying that Italy should have never played a team like Ireland just before a major tournament, that was a disaster waiting to happen.
They all play teams similar to the teams they're playing in the World Cup - Uruguay played Northern Ireland and Italy played Ireland to prepare for us.
Yeah, the same reason why we played Peru on Friday. I get that much, but sure Scotland would have been safer opposition for the Italian players...

Whatever home nation they played they're a bunch of trout cloggers who play like ass so the end result would've been the same. Perfect preparation for facing ROY'S (Brave) BOYS.
