Wow. Way too hard to decide.
FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9 are all my favorites. The only FF I disliked was FFX, and even that was a somewhat enjoyable game.

i love all ff games but my favorites are by far FFVIII and FFX

They were all very good (haven't gotten to jap3 or 5), but I would have to say FF3(american) was my favorite, followed by x, viii,vii and I :) .
