Which character should have been removed from FF8?

In this order
1 Irvine-Hes not a cowboy damnit so why is he wearing that damn hat. I am also guilty of thinking Zell and Selphie go good together.;)
2 Rinoa- I hate Squall but no one deserves STDs like she gives out. SHOT:shoot:
3 Squall- Emo bishy who turns from a cold sum bitch into a strong popular amazing military tactician. Suurre.:tongue:

I think Square Enix should have dropped the love story because it was fricking lame.The love story in Star Wars Episode II was more entertaining and interesting than the love story that Square Enix came up with.I mean how the hell does Squall fall in love with Rinoa?The reason why I'm asking this question is because Squall didn't have any feelings for Rinoa in the beginning.In fact he was annoyed when he had to drop everything to rescue her not once but twice I don't understand it.I wouldn't fall in love with somebody if that person was annoying me.:confused:

He wasnt necessarily annoyed with Rinoa, and the love story between Star Wars ep. I, II, & III are slightly similar to this situation. In the beginning one wasn't really in love with the other, but as they bonded and spent time together and went through many things with eachother they began to love eachother. Like Padme comes out of no where and said shes been falling in love with Anakin, but Anakin loved her the moment he set eyes on her..hence he said "are you an angel?" and all that cute stuff. *Star Wars & Final Fantasy fan, here..*

The Winhill/Julia arc shouldn't have been in the game. I <3 Laguna quite a bit, and it was fun to see the events of the game in a totally different way after playing through all of Laguna's scenarios, but it was so POORLY done. To understand what any of Laguna's scenarios meant for the main plotline, you basically had to prophecise and guess. In the end, Laguna's "big appearnce" in Esthar was more of a cameo that a culmination of his scenario. I wish they'd put in extra, optional Laguna bits, as a side quest. Squall would go to Ellone and say, "Tell me more about blah blah blah" and she'd take him to various events as Laguna. Then maybe the Laguna/Raine/Julia/Squall/Rinoa/Everyoneinthegame connection would make sense WHILE PLAYING THE GAME. If for some godforsaken reason this game is ever remade, this is what I would like to see the most. Either that or just take the whole thing out, and eliminate Laguna as anything more than Esthar's president, and don't mention Julia at all.

I think the love story in Final Fantasy VIII is more similar to the love story in Star Wars Episodes IV,V,and VI.The reason why saying this is because Rinoa has feelings for both Seifer and Squall.In the mission where SeeD attempted to assasinate Edea Squall told Rinoa that he saw Seifer in the parade and he would have to kill him if he jeopardized the mission.Rinoa told Squall that she is acknowledging the fact that he is mentally prepared to kill Seifer but she would rather not see it happen.

Yep. And the ONLY reason I knew this by playing the game was by poking around in some sort of in-game encyclopedia on Julia Heartily. The last name was a big give-away, plus something like, "She married a Galbladian general, had a baby daughter, then died in a car crash." I've never seen any diolauge reference to the relation. Annoying.

Now that I think about it Rinoa should have been removed from FF8.I don't know about you guys but I just didn't care about her I didn't care whether she lived or died.I didn't feel protective over her at all I didn't find her endearing at all I didn't admire her at all.I didn't think that she was beautiful either I thought that she was ugly and I thought that Selphie was beautiful.

RINOA! She's a boob(meaning idiot, not breast) and she's a prostitute!

Another character that should have been removed from the game is Ultimecia.She isn't a very good villain if you ask me in fact next to Count Dooku she is probaby the worst villian ever.I know Count Dooku isn't in the Final Fantasy series but he is still a pathetic villian.The reason why I think Ultimecia is pathetic is because how cowardly she is she doesn't show up until you get near the end of the fricking game.Oh and the fact that some random whitch who can cast magic isn't very intimidating.As for Count Dooku I don't think old men are intimidating either.
