Is the glass half-full, or half-empty?

Half-empty... unless someone I hate dies or gets hit by a car or gets dismembered and eaten by an ill-tempered mutated seabass, or falls into an acid bath or contracts the Ebola virus or similar..... or if someone's nice to me.
