It's not just the preparation, this was beautifully executed from start to finish, right down to the quick thinking to incorporate the server load spike into the story. This is a freaking masterpiece.

Now Vivi is often touted as the shining star of the Legends of IX and also applauded by the Black Mage Association (BMA) for popularising the image of the black mage. Now is this enough for him to be best character? Who can say...

Awwww look at that, Towns gets credit! All he did was give up his apartment to Award Chocobo but I guess.
RPG Maker XP. As a couple of asides on that, you could see the four thieves plotting backstage (I believe with the Cid interview) and then chilling at their table with a mountain of Ciddies later on. You also could see Ultros hiding in the chest during Squall's "Whatever" song too. On that, I want to thank Bubba for singing that (it's amazing to hear a song you wrote actually being sung so cheers!) and DrAssenov for doing the awesome Squall guitar art to go along with it.Quote:

I wrote Cutest Couple, Best Villain and wrote Best World, which Psychotic added a few tweaks to and made it into the live action strip.
I also wrote the intro and voiced Vanille and strung all the audio together, wrote a couple of the other skits too!

In FFVII there's an optional sidequest where Yuffie is a bitch and nicks your materia, rendering you only able to use items and attack. Your reward for finishing it? NOT smurfING MUCH.
In FFVI the limitation sidequest is the Fanatics Tower, where you are only able to use Magic. Your reward is actually worthwhile, it's a nice challenge - something that FFVII lacks entirely - and I'll be damned if there aren't ways around the stipulation if you make good use of the Relic system and character choices. Smurf right off with all of this, are we really going to descend into bickering about individual things like this? It's kind of pathetic but I will stoop this low if only to prove you wrong.
Any sidequest that features Reno, Rude, Don Corneo and the music associated with them is worth getting involved with. These characters, their music, it is reward in itself.Quote:

Despite FFVII being my favourite game, I never really bothered much with the Weapons (or Speed Square). I was too invested in mastering materia, leveling characters and breeding chocobos. x_x

I just want to say that these people made this happen. Congratulations to the artists, speechwriters and all those that helped take this event to the next level. I've had a few people mention it may have been the best event EoFF has ever put together and it's them that did this.Quote:

Ha, so I heard! Well, thought I'd show up just in time to lodge the 1000th post of the thread.
Great job to everyone who took part! This is, in my opinion, the greatest thing EOFF has ever done. The artwork alone was simply phenomenal.
EDIT: Though if Award Tonberry uses my avatar again I'm gonna kick his face off
I think Award Tonberry just looks incredibly similar to the Tonberry in your avatar. I bet Tonberries say the same thing about humans, though.
